Just found out that idol TV variety shows are shown late at night (23:00 to 14:00). Seems like a good strategy by the TV stations to get viewership during those times.

Tokyo's latest attraction: Transparent public toilets
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/toky ... index.htmlShigeru Ban Architects' design tackles these two concerns by offering a toilet with glass walls that -- at first -- allows the public to see through from the outside. But once a user enters the toilet and locks the door, the walls turn opaque to provide privacy.
"This allows users to check the cleanliness and whether anyone is using the toilet from the outside," says the statement. "At night, the facility lights up the park like a beautiful lantern."

I thought the Japanese media was just overreacting with how much they focused on Abe earlier this week, just because he had undergone a test.

Japan urges public ‘do not discriminate’ against the unvaccinated
As an increasing number of countries ramp up pressure on citizens who remain unvaccinated, one nation has an entirely different approach.

Kakabalik lang namin ni misis from 8 days trip in Japan.
Ang daming nagbago after 2 years. Nasa Japan kami last January 2020, before Covid became big.
Yung mga maliliit na shops na madalas kong pinupuntahan sa Akihabara since nung fist time ako pinadala dun for work back in 2008, karamihan wala na.
Can't blame them, kasi yun ang demand ng market.
Although maraming branches ang Hard-off / Book off all across Japan, yung mga napuntahan namin sa Kyoto and Tokyo, konti lang yung used consoles na hawak nila. Mostly retro, Famicom, Saturn or PS1.
Glad to say na buhay parin ang Super Potato at Mandarake para dun sa mga retro video game collectors.
At buhay parin ang Gashapon, at mga UFO catchers.
Having said that, Japan is still a very nice place to visit. Lalo na during winter. Kahit walang snow, masarap yung pakiramdam ng malamig na hangin.
At para dun sa mga may balak pumunta sa Japan soon, be sure to not miss the Gundam Factory in Yokohama.
May malaking RX-78 dun na gumagalaw, which was much more worth seeing than the Unicorn they have in Odaiba.
Kaso, hanggang March 2023 nalang yung Gundam factory, so be sure to visit the place if you are going to Japan soon.
Nara is another nice place to visit to, para sa mga nature lovers. Doon pwede kayo magpakain ng mga usa, using crackers na binebenta ng mga local sellers. Although, be prepared to be mugged by a pack of deers, pag nakita ka nilang may hawak na crackers.
