sa tingin ko rin sa gumawa ng unit yung problema eh.

baka meron clang natabig o nakalimutan ikabit sa loob ng unit. since konti palang percentage ng BD failure, di pa TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION sila ganun ka sanay buksan ang ps3. sanay sila sa xbox......

and to think na..pag laging binubuksan ang unit parang nalalaspag yung mga internals kase kinakalikot dba?

I'm not sure if this has already been posted pero nabasa ko lang sa official forums ng playstation.

In case your PS3 freezes and you need to turn it off or reset it, don't eject the disc. Just reset it then turn it on again.

hmmm.... may mga nag post na kaya nagka BDL failure ay dahil matagal yung duration ng pag lalaro... TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION saken di pa naman nagkaka problema. kung maglaro kameng magkakabarkada all nighter. mga 4pm-10am. minsan extend pa yan hanggang sa nahihilo na kame sa antok.

NTSC J nga pa la yung PS3 ko. 'bought it in yokohama. based on my experience with fixing dvd/cd players, normal na masira ang lens pagtagal tagal. syempre. lage mo ginagamit. o kaya pag nabagsak yung unit.
pero kung bago yung unit at sira kagad, malamang sablay yung nabili mo. sabi nga nung isang forumer " lemon. "

I recall seeing a thread here about PAL PS3's disguised as NTSC units. hindi kaya meron talaga nagtatamper ng units na binebenta dito sa ' ten?

ako mga bro dun ako nagpopost sa 'dead ps3...dalhin sa EYO' thread. so pwde nyu rin reference yun. bale ako 5 times ako nagpapalit ng lens. so nasira tpos nagbayad ako ng 5.5k para mapaltan sa EYO. badtrip nun every week nasisira. everytime i thought baka tagal ko maglaru TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION...pero i limit myself to 1hr gaming..max 2hrs...nasisira pa rin. huli ko bisita, jan 15 2008. swerte naman hanggang ngayn di pa nasisira ulet. cguru nga malas TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION ako sa lens dati.

sa other thread meron daw iba pa places u can buy bd lens other than EYO. pero mas gsto ko pa rin sa EYO. lumampas n ako sa 1month warranty pero kinausap ko TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION c eric, ayun TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION pinagbigyan ako n papaltan pa.

hmmm.... may kinalaman kaya ito sa pagnood ng blu-ray movies? Sa mga nasiraan, do you use it as blu-ray player or dvd player? kasi sa akin i use it both bd and dvd player. Pero since i've seen this medyo binawasan ko na ng konti TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION playing ng dvd at bd.

well, like japoyy said, which also applies to me, mga less than 3 hrs nalang ako naglalaro ng ps3 games.. tapos nilagyan ko na ng electric fan para hindi sumobra sa init..hindi naman ako nanonood dun ng dvd or bd e.. wala naman akong bd movie pa..

baka nga mali yung paggawa ng lens ni eyo pero teka..wait.. naalala ko, lahat daw ng inorder dati ni eyo na bd lens e naalog daw kaya nasira, ayaw na bumasa ng bd.. so that means pwedeng naalog yung mga units natin (during transpo from gh to house??)..

mokee, panu ba yung orientation ng ps3 mo? naka horizontal ba sya or vertical? naka aircon ka ba or may fan lang yung ps3? san sya nakalagay?

lam nio kasi guys, the sad thing kasi about my unit is that, nung naka vertical sya, 1 month before nasisira.. pag naka horizonta, 1 week lang..

I believe meron lang talagang lemon na BD drive/lens. I've played more PS3 games ang BD Movies than my previous PS3, and my current unit is still reading discs for over a month now! (Knocks on wood also ) Of course, "wear and tear" still applies. The more you use it, the sooner the lens will wear out.

I agree na may lemon unit talaga..pero iyong kay agent#1 11 months bago masira ang lens..lemon din kaya un?nakakatakot talaga masiran ng lens..

yun nga eh.. bakit may mga inaabot ng 11 months.. hindi na lemon yan.. tingin ko may kinalaman sa firmware ang freeze which affects the bdrom itself.. mejo malabo sa tingin nyo pero new technology ang ps3, kaya hindi ibig sabihin it runs like a normal lens like the ps2 or from dvd players. it may have been affected by firmware + game, and when the game freezes, the bd lens remains in a state where it still reads the games pero di nakasabay yung os ng ps3.. well theory ko lang having my lens suffer the same after a week. so far so good. it over 4 months now, although i dont play it quite as often as you guys do

so far wala reported dito sa pinoypsx, its really hard to confirm. not all ps3 owners here in the phils are pinoypsx forumers. in addition, bd failure is not really a big of deal problem to consumers outside phils since they can outright claim replacement dahil sa warranty.

anyone here wouldnt be able to answer your question directly. pero i can assume na 40 gb ps3s are less prone to that failure dahil mas bago siyang designed.

ako naman i dnt use it to watch BDs..mga mp4s and other files TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION.

sana magkaroon n dto ng cheap n nagbebenta ng lens. para just in case masira man mga lens natin di mahal. and sympre quality hehe

Di ko alam na may defects din pala ang PS3.........

So far, wala pa naman ako naeexperience na problema sa unit ko and I had mine since launch date.....

60 GB japanese model unit ko.....

Siguro swerte lang talaga ako.........

Pati 360 ko d pa ako tnrydor not even once.....

and I also had my 360 since august 2006.......
