Ako kasi cheapest na window7 nalang bbuy ko Home Basic 64bit.

Sarap din naka gaming Laptop Pwede ka mag skyrim during lunch break, traffic jam, etc etc.

Yung sa pag monitor ng temp san pwede mag dL?. Yung sa widgets kasi ng win7 para sa gpu lang meron, yung para sa cpu may naka sulat lang na "Core Temp is not Running".
Accurate din ba yun? kasi 3 hours straight ako nag skyrim pero 62c lang ang gpu temp niya.

ano ano yung mga kasama sa 49k package?
kung sa annex din ako bibili, sang shops mo ini rerecommend aside from pc corner?


just wondering though, kamusta yung plastic nya compared sa less powerful MSI
budget laptops. yung slight weakness nya before kasi on lower models are marupok yung
plastic ng casing. improved na ba to dito sa gaming series nila?

^actually, the improved models eh yung linya ng gt780 and above..

pero yung sa old models, kung di ka naman masyadong obsessive sa chassis ng laptop, ok naman sya.. hehe..
pero peerformance wise, on par lang sila imho.. and mas gusto ko mababa native resolution para madali patakbuhin laro..

it seems mga 100k + yung mga models ng i7 na MSI

mabuti na rin though. found an i7 laptop na 540m vc
for 1/3rd the price of the i7 MSI G series.

Asus ba yan? May ino offer kasi sakin PC life na Asus hindi ko alam exact model pero gt540 and i7 din siya nasa 36-37k yata cash price nun. Kaso Yung sa VCard kasi eh.... Hindi ba class 2 lang ang gt540m? Yung sa clockspeed naman nung cpu hindi ko na nakita.

kung straight up 3d gaming though, lamang lang ng konti yung i5+ 560m
pero sa ibang newer games at emulation gaming (dolphin),
or video editing/ other types of work, lamang yung i7+ 540m

in fairness though, yung luma kong gamit, asus k42j (core i5, hd 5730, 27k php)
runs the newest games on high na (skyrim, batman ac, mw3, bf3, crysis 2)
witcher 2 lang yung medyo choppy pag highest.

get the highest spec you can afford, currently playing Batman Arkham City on the PC, with my desktop specs i5 2400 3.1ghz quadcore + GTX46o 1GB OC, im just getting 28 FPS average on DX11, 1920x1080, MAX Settings, pag laptop cpu/gpu mas mabagal pa kesa desktop equivalent (mobile gpu has way fewer shader cores). future DX11 titles will bog down your laptop lalo na it's not upgradeable.

im looking for ways to improve performance pa at least 35 fps sana, but DX11 is so pretty, it would be a waste to play in DX9 mode aka console mode.

Exactly...

I bought a GT780R for the exact same reason. I want to get the best gaming laptop because you can't upgrade the thing. So that in 2-3 years, I can easily sell the laptop because the specs are still relevant. If the people are concern with the price, I would suggest to get a desktop PC instead. If you're willing to shell out 50-60k for a laptop. For that price, you could get almost the same performance of a GT780R, on a desktop.

Do you think those i5 laptops can still handle games in 2-3 years time? Heck people with high specs are having a hard time with BF3.

I could hvae gone with Alienware pero problem ko sa kanila. Paano kung masira yung laptop, paano ko siya pagagawa. Kaya napilitan na rin ako MSI.

I agree kung hindi naman kayo nagtravel pointless bumili ng gaming laptop. Ako kasi i always travel due to work. Yung schedule ko nga this month ay pamatay. Nasa Bacolod ako last week. This weekend punta ako ng San Pablo and the next week nasa Urdaneta ako. If I didn't have to travel baka bumuo na lang ako ng gaming desktop.

a) i'm not looking for a gaming desktop. its for on the go gaming, when there's nothing to do
...outside the house, i could just easily open it up and play.

...i know i can easily build a decent i7/ class 1 video card for around 30k+ if i wanted to.
...(not including monitors and externals) i've been assembling my own rig since HS,
... and i very well know that it won't be able to compare to what i can build price-wise in desktops.

...what i want is the portability and bang for the buck,
...hence we're posting in the 'gaming laptop' thread.

b) i can actually play bf3/mw3/skyrim/batman AC on a mix of high-med
... on my old i5, hd 5730 laptop (textures to high, some effects/shadows to medium, adjusting
... the aa, anisotropic filtering to fps-smooth levels)
...under no illusion that i would be able to play everything on ultra, but those settings are
...nice and smooth enough for me, and actually already looks better than the ps3 versions

c) actually, i'm not impressed with "high-end" gaming laptops.
...from several experiences with officemates who bought 100k+ hi-end gaming laptops,
...in less than two years, we were already able to buy a similary specced machine than his
...for way less than half of what he paid for his. (he regrets getting those hi-ends and never did again)

...the same way i'm not impressed with 'future proofing' your laptop with the best you can find either.
...2 years is already an eternity when it comes to tech. and you pay a huge premium for
...stuff that will become mass-made medium class components in a year's time.

...best advice they ever gave was that if you ever plan on reselling your old tech stuff is do it in
...within 1-2 years, and use that money to fund your newer model.

...ever tried keeping a "hi-end" gaming laptop for 100k, and keep it for 3 years?
...(why the heck would you even keep one for that long? )
...try selling that after that long, and the value drops like a rock; its not even funny.
...since newer much cheaper alternatives at those specs are available by then.

...so yeah, i don't give much value in future proofing your machine by buying the most expensive
...since we all know the latest one out already will have a better replacement waiting to get out,
...and that in a year, much cheaper versions of that will already be out.
...tech is just like that.

...price to performance ratio, high-ends are terrible. the law of diminishing returns are amplified
...in tech. you pay 3-5 times more (and an arm and a leg), but you don't get x3 / x5 times in performance.
...they drop in value with far greater magnitude than mid-ranges.
