Dalawang bagay lang na sinabi sa kin na dapat i-consider before investing in stocks: 1.) make sure may puhunan ka pambawi and 2.) don't invest your entire life savings

Saka dapat tutukan talaga when it comes to stocks...Thankfully i have a mentor (barkada kong homebased worker na 2 years na rin nag iinvest sa stocks)...Minsan yung sinasahod nya sa stocks ang ginagamit nya sa sideline nyang bags & shoes for women...

tama, dapat tutukan talaga at babantayan mo.

Since wala ako alam pagdating sa stock market, another option ko for safe investment is time deposit.

therefore, mag-save muna bago mag-invest sa stocks. yan ang proper way.

the reasons why you have to build up your savings first before you invest are:
1. emergency fund. that savings will help provide the money for unforeseen situations like hospitalization, sickness, accidents, or even fire.
take note, however, this should exclude buying games, clothing, gifts, vacation, pang-gimik, or lending other people.
2. buffer fund. imagine if you're unemployed for weeks, even months. this should serve as extra money that you can spend when you lose your job.
idealy savings should be at least 6 months of your total monthly expenses.
3. excess fund. if you are able to save that 6months equivalent then that's the time you can invest. technically you can invest immediately even without savings, however, based on my experience there were some obligations I have to fulfilled that's why I have to pull out my investments twice.
about risks, every investment is risky but some investment gurus out there have said that the real risk is in the investor and not the investment. you really have to invest in knowledge and experience. its a good thing that you can simulate trading stock which is called paper trading. just pretend that you have the money and then buy the stock. then follow it up every day if it goes up or down. you can analyze or predict if the stock price will go up or down using technical or fundamental analyses. fundamental analysis entails general market knowledge and reading accounting reports. while technical is looking at the pattern of price fluctuations.
anyway there are seminars available out there. for basics you can go to PSE for a free seminar to familiarize with stock terms and trading. for technical analysis go to Absolute Traders. for fundamentals, it's really your academic economics class and/or accounting subjects. of you can teach yourself via youtube.

Langya...
That's when i realized a bit too late that i needed to save some & not spend it all away...So thankfully ngayon medyo marami na rin akong naipundar for me & my family...And my next target this year is a generator set since i work at home...
Lesson learned? Save what you can....

Yun ngayon yung nadala kong panggastos nung nag SG ako.DarkRushBeat wrote:Ganito rin ako dati...Until 1 day narealize ko...Damn, ano na ba naipundar ko sa tagal ko na sa BPO (Toys & Books excluded of course... )? Kahit pobre ako kumilos at pumorma atleast i can sleep well at night knowing na may stable akong ipon.

It varies annually pero mababa kumpara dito. Pinaka-mahal na binayaran kong buwis was less than 70SGD so that's 2K+ petot lang .. and that's for the entire year na. Eh dito sa pinas halos every other month almost 2k na agad total na kaltas syo, excluding pa yung mga SSS at philhealth.
Kaya ako, di muna ko mag syota ulit, magastos eh.

I know someone who saved up all his coins on a daily basis dati, 5 & 10...Eventually naka ipon sya ng 500.00 over all & nagamit nya yun when he got married, pandagdag sa simpleng handaan nila...
Ang isa sa pinaka idol ko sa pera is John D. Rockefeller...At an early age matinik na ang business skills nya...Making money work for you ang isa sa motto nya sa buhay...And kahit naging mega billionaire na sya ayaw nya nakikita mga anak nya na nagiiwan ng scraps of food sa plato...
