What?!?imban wrote:the line is blurred
if i download a game, burn it on a dvd, its a physical copy..... but still digitial, technically... but physical... something like that
if i buy a dvd game, copy an image to a hardisk.... its the same thing
i think the main concern here is "how you first acquired" the game.. but in today's standard, almost every game has "followup" patches / DLCs.. so no matter how you first aqcuired the game, it's obsolete after the next patch

People back up in the cloud. Why anyone would back up in a physical disc (which is prone to rotting) is beyond me.
If you purchased a game on Steam, would you need to burn it onto a DVD? What for? Just download it again if you need it.

actually there's no need to be technical about it as everyone (er most) understands the choices, since it's elementary and only need a little common sense regardless if the question is technically incorrect.imban wrote:well obviously you didn't understand.. ayoko na magexplain

If Nintendo continues to give out promotions like the SMT IV + FE = $30 free e-shop load, then nagiging mas viable na option na para sa akin ang digital. Hehe of course I'll probably still buy physical games lalo na yung mga CE at LE, pero having free money to spend on the E-shop at least promotes getting games digitally.

I'm not a fan of digital games, I'm more on physical, I already post here some of my reasons, pero kung masyadong malaki ang difference ng price kung mas mura ang digital kesa physical ( which is malabong mangyare ) and kung mag stop ang physical at gawing lahat digital then no choice, and kung yun ang isang way para hinde ma support ang x-play, then I will switch to digital hehe.

Physical because you own it unless a company implemented a stupid DRM. Going digital doesn't have enough benefits for me. I hate to download for long hours. I never wanted to worry about storage space. Now all that can be forgotten if the prices are cheap like Steam but they're not. The funny thing is we should expect lower prices since they no longer have to pay for shipping, warehouse storage, packaging etc. Even if we factor bandwidth expenses, prices should still be cheaper than the expenses I listed.

Hmmm? I guess they put a "premium" on these digital products.
As for me, I do prefer physical copies but I'm more open now on buying digital stuff. My unit is crammed with it now, actually.

Oo nga...the main draw for me for going digital is dapat mas mura sila. Music, books and even movies are cheaper when in digital format kaysa physical. Hindi ko alam kung bakit sa games hindi.
Well, I still buy some digital games every now and then. Minsan kasi mas maganda to have them always in a system especially for handhelds para hindi papalit palit ng game.

Pagdating sa handhelds I prefer digital since cumbersome magpalit ng game sa sasakyan during travel. While on consoles physical atw, always liked them cases and artbook.
Also, nasa console forum itong topic na 'to so common sense that these topics are pertaining to consoles that are protected by DRM, not an open source gaming device like PC that you can "convert" your game from physical to digital and vice versa. Hay some people loves to overcomplicate things.silent_will wrote:actually there's no need to be technical about it as everyone (er most) understands the choices, since it's elementary and only need a little common sense regardless if the question is technically incorrect.imban wrote:well obviously you didn't understand.. ayoko na magexplain

Oo nga eh...parang yung KZ Mercs 1gb agad yung update.
Lately napapabili ako ng mga digital games and malaking bagay talaga yung convenience of having them everywhere plus it takes out the hassle of taking carts in and out. Pero iba pa din yung feel of having an actual copy of the game lalo na pag Limited ed or Collectors ed yung sa physical.

Physical. I just need to worry about cases or shelf space, which is way cheaper than HD/SD/Memstick space.
