Nokia, Nokia, Nokia...haayyy, what to say.
I wish Nokia continued development of the MeeGo...sayang lang. Pati ang Intel ginulantang nila sa pag-partner sa Microsoft.
LG, HTC and Samsung all have WP7 phones now, what makes Nokia WP7 phones any different??
Symbian OS may be old but it can be reworked and updated to compete with the competiton.
I expected better from Nokia. Tsk tsk...

Sayang naman.ang tagal mag labas ng nokia ng phone na makakasabay sa mga smart phones today. I am happy with my 2 generations of iphones i've used and still am using but I wouldn't mind considering a new smart phone from nokia.

Wanting to beat Android and the iPhone real bad, Nokia abandons MeeGo and looks into WebOS and the WP7 platforms...
They chose Microsoft.
According to the Nokia bigwigs, Nokia WP7 phones coming out later this year...
More HERE
BTW, Intel soldiers on with the MeeGo.
Good for you Intel!

Read more HEREIntel may have been the jilted bride left at the altar by Nokia, but it's not giving up on MeeGo just yet.
The above poster has been hung up here in Barcelona, in the area us humble journalists still aren't in allowed yet, and shows a smartphone and tablet running Intel's Linux variant as their OS.

Kyocera Echo
Earlier this month Sprint promised an "industry first" and yesterday they delivered precisely that with the Kyocera Echo, the world's first dual touchscreeen smartphone.
Monday evening at a special press event in New York, the company introduced their latest Android-powered device, which sports two high-resolution 3.5-inch touchscreen displays that can be operated independently, side-by-side, or combined to form one 4.7-inch display.
What makes the Echo unique is its ability to not just simply split interactive controls between two screens, but to operate two different functions simultaneously. For example, users can watch a video on the top screen while writing an email on the bottom, in what Kyocera and Sprint are calling Simul-Task mode. Additionally, the device can also be used in a traditional flip up position called Optimized Mode, which syncs both displays to present an app across both screens, as well as Tablet Mode, which creates one flat 4.7-inch touchscreen viewing area. It can also collapse into a standard single screen touchscreen smartphone, for on-the-fly use.
As for specs, the Echo features 3G and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g connectivity, wireless hotspot technology, a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, Bluetooth support, 720p HD video recording, 1GB of memory, 8GBs of microSD storage (expandable to 32GBs), and runs Android 2.2.
The Kyocera Echo will be available exclusively through Sprint this spring for $199.99 with a two-year contract.

Sa dami ng mga nagiging improvements sa Droid OS,ano kaya next move ng apple sa iOS nila? Wala pa ako nababasang rumors sa mga possible updates eh.

I hope this time SE delivers on what they promise, kasi lately they've been known for not totally "bringing it" to the consumer market after trade shows like Mobile World Congress or CES...a13 wrote:sana nga, im really leaning towards buying xperia play pampalit sa current phone.Pixelated wrote:Sabi nila na beta pre-production version software pa lang yung naka-install sa new Xperia phones. Hope they learned their lesson from the Xperia X1 and the X10.
-----------
Motorola, LG and HP have been showing off their tablet PCs to compete with the EXISTING iPad. They all look promising (if not a little buggy at times), that is, until the iPad 2 comes out.

Pero, kapag lumabas na ang new iPhone this coming June, magugulantang na naman ang mundo ng Android...
This kinda reminds me of Verizon, a hypocrite telcom company dito sa US. Nung wala pa silang iPhone (since it was exclusive to AT&T noon) they keep on saying Andoid is better than the iPhone kasi this, kasi that, blah, blah, blah...
Pero nung lately nakuha ng Verizon ang iPhone, they tout it as the second coming of smartphones.
