IPStars offers Sattelite Internet in the Philippines

A new Thai-based satellite broadband provider, IPStar, is now offering broadband internet anywhere in the Philippines for as low as $49 a month.
Last Thursday, IPStar revealed their commercial offering for satellite internet with starting packages (IPSTAR BigSky) as affordable as $49/month (Php2,500). Higher plans are available for bigger bandwidth.

The Phillipine gateway of IPSTAR is located at Angeles Industrial Park, Pampanga as seen on the photos above.
Downstream speeds are estimated to reach 8Mbps with upstream speed of 4Mbps. Not sure how much that one would cost you.

If P2500 means 8mbps... I'm sold.

Question naman, Ok na ba yung plan Xperience ng PLDT MyDSL for PS3 gaming? 999/month lang kasi eh pero 1 mbps lang ang connection speed. Pwede na ba yun?

prob ko lang kase is long distance na pag pldt ok nga sana maganda mga feedback na narinig ko kaso wala naman ako kilala na makakausap at tatawagan na taga bacoor lahat manila area so long distance na dating ko nun mahal ang bill. wala naman silang package na wireless TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION landline tapos meron internet na kasama. pano ba to?
