imo baliktad..

May downside din pag may trophies pag na plat muna parang wala ng gana laruin..base on my experience hehe.

Ganun din ang dating ngayon. Pag walang trophies, kahit gaano kaganda yung game, "pangit" sa paningin ng iba kasi nga walang achievement system.

afaik across 3DS systems hindi pa.. kapag may binili ka sa e-shop and nasira yung 3DS and bumili ng bago need ulit i-purchase yung game kapag walang WiiU na parang nag aact as central link..

Rumor: Nintendo to show NX concept in March-May, unveil NX June, launch October-November

Nintendo (7974.Japan/NTDOY) slipped 5% in Tokyo after Nomura Securities said the mysterious new console NX, to be unveiled this June, will cannibalize the existing sales of 3DS and Wii U.

According to analyst Junko Yamamura, Nintendo will make NX available by 2016 year-end’s shopping season. Nomura expects Nintendo to announce the “concept” sometime between March and May, unveil the actual console in June, and launch it between October and November. “We think the NX will start to boost operating profits in 18/3, when it will have been on the market for a full year and will have a line-up of software titles, which carry high operating margins.”

We had previously thought that the NX launch would have only a limited impact on 3DS and Wii U sales as it is not being positioned as a successor to either console, but we have now altered our view because 3DS sales have been weakening a little recently, particularly in terms of software, as the machine enters its sixth year, and to factor in a harsher competitive climate and what happened to other existing consoles when new machines were launched in the past.

We still expect the NX to launch in 17/3. We have lowered our estimates for current consoles to reflect the present situation, fiercer competition, and what has happened in the past when new hardware is announced… We have reduced our operating profit forecasts for 16/3 by 5.7% and for 17/3–21/3 by 30.0–32.7%.

Nintendo NX launches worldwide in March 2017
Nintendo's new console is "a brand-new concept."
Nintendo’s new console, code-named NX, will launch worldwide in March 2017, the company announced.

“For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed ‘NX’ with a brand-new concept,” reads the release. “NX will be launched in March 2017 globally.”

NX’s estimated hardware and software sales units are reflected in Nintendo’s financial forecast ending March 31, 2017, but Nintendo are not disclosing the specific information “as it is provisional.”

NX will not make an appearance at E3 in Los Angeles in June and will be unveiled later this year. The new The Legend of Zelda, which is in development for NX as well as Wii U and due out in 2017, will be the focus of Nintendo’s presence at E3.

Nintendo did not share further information.

Nintendo Announces NX Console to Launch March 2017 Worldwide
The NX will feature a "brand-new concept."
Nintendo has confirmed that its upcoming gaming console, codenamed NX, will be launching in March 2017 around the world. The information was revealed as part of the company's 2016 fiscal year earnings report released today. The launch date was also confirmed by a post from the official Nintendo of America Twitter account.

The report reads: "For our dedicated video game platform business, Nintendo is currently developing a gaming platform codenamed "NX" with a brand-new concept. NX will be launched in March 2017 globally." No further details about the NX or the console's new concept were revealed.

In late 2015, reports from The Wall Street Journal pointed to a possible 2016 release date for Nintendo's new console, with allegations that software development kits were already being sent to third-party developers.

Nintendo’s NX may use cards not unlike 3DS catridges, new report says
Macronix, the Taiwanese memory company that manufactures 3DS cartridges for Nintendo, seems to be working on a new, higher capacity card, presumably for the NX.

According to the Japanese financial analysis firm Money-Link (translated by Screen Critics), Macronix is currently working on a 32GB card, a big step up when compared to the 8GB capacity of the 3DS. The card will be smaller in size than the 3DS cards, dropping from 75nm to just 32nm, which means it’s unlikely that the new cartridges are being developed for the 3DS.

The memory company also increased their projected profits in the fourth quarter, which Money-Link notes is abnormal for the company. Usually, Macronix has a downturn of profits in that time period, but Chairman of Macronix Wu Miin said that a quantity of orders from “an important customer, Nintendo, will have critical impact” during the usual slump.

The order is also in line with a patent filed by Nintendo last year that insinuated the company would move away from disc-based media for its next system. The lack of a disc drive is also in-line with rumors that Nintendo wants their next console to be a hybrid handheld and mobile device.

The rumors have been flying recently with Nintendo’s upcoming console, which is scheduled to launch in March 2017. We’ve seen patents for controllers that sense objects and detect temperature, pressure, and motion. Don’t expect to hear any clarification on those rumors at E3 this year—Nintendo isn’t going to talk about the NX at all during the industry event.

Personally, this is the first Nintendo home console (or hybrid) that I'm hesitant on getting. With the previous home consoles, it is usually just a matter of time (and price). Nintendo has to really wow me with the NX if I am to buy one.

I'm thinking, Nintendo will also snag exclusive rights to some well-known franchises.

GameCube has Resident Evil. Wii U has Bayonneta 2. :D

Report claims Nintendo NX production delayed to incorporate VR
Mass production of the Nintendo NX may be delayed to early 2017 in order to incorporate VR compatibility, according to a new report from Digitimes, a Taiwainese newspaper that focuses on electronics manufacturing.

Citing some unnamed sources from the “upstream supply chain,” Digitimes reports that the NX’s production will be delayed in order to “enhance the game console’s video-game/handheld-game-integrated gaming experience and add virtual reality (VR) function into the system.” This would keep Nintendo’s console up to date with the PlayStation 4, which will be able to run the PlayStation VR later this year, and the rumors of the Xbox Scorpio, said to work with the Oculus Rift.

The unnamed source also reported that Nintendo is reducing the number of ordered units by half, down to 10 million units from the originally-ordered 20 million units. This is attributed to the “shrinking” of the video game console market, but may also be due to the console’s design changing—as it would if VR capabilities were integrated.

None of the sources listed can be verified, so take these rumors with a fairly large grain of salt. Nintendo’s been keeping a very tight lid on news about the NX, and even major third-party developers are still in the dark. Nintendo hasn’t indicated that anything will be unveiled at E3, either, so we’ll just have to wait until there’s an official update.

It seems like Nintendo can't make-up their minds on the "NX's" specs if true.

We have no idea what the NX is, but you can still win one
Nintendo's partnering with Japanese fashion company Uniqlo for a contest, and the grand prize is a sparkly new console.
SOURCE: http://beta.egmnow.com/articles/news/we ... l-win-one/

Nobody outside of Nintendo knows what its NX console looks like yet—but that doesn’t mean you can’t win one.
Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo has partnered with Nintendo for its latest T-shirt design contest. Fans can send in their best original Nintendo-themed shirt designs to be judged by Shigeru Miyamoto and a Nintendo Special Judges team.

The grand prize is much more than getting to see your design on a T-shirt, however. The first place winner will receive $10,000 and an invitation to an awards ceremony in Kyoto, where Miyamoto will also present the winner with a new, signed, Nintendo NX. That award goes out in spring 2017, around the same time the NX is supposed to be released, so the console design most likely won’t be a mystery by then—but still, that shows a lot of confidence on Nintendo’s part that the console will be ready for consumers by then.

The second place winner will also receive a cash prize ($3,000) and an autographed NX, while the third place winner will receive $500 (but no console).

Design submissions are open now and will remain open for nearly two months, closing on Wednesday, August 31st. That gives artists plenty of time to brush up on their best designs and gain the chance to own one of the first Nintendo NX consoles.

For more submission details, head on over to the FAQ page of Uniqlo.

I'll just put this here since wala pa naman nagpo-post. (article is already a few hours old)

SOURCE: http://wccftech.com/nintendo-nx-uses-te ... n-console/
Yesterday, a report from Eurogamer revealed some new details about the Nintendo NX, the upcoming new Nintendo console launching next year in all regions. According to Eurogamer’s sources, the NX will be a hybrid console powered by Nvidia Tegra technology, which will make the console more powerful than the 3DS and the Wii U consoles.

A few hours ago, Digital Foundry took an in-depth look about the rumored Nintendo NX specs, noting how the console is not designed to go toe to toe with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If the Nintendo NX will use the Tegra X1, it could be thought of as “a turbo powered last gen console”, which doesn’t sound bad at all, considering we are talking about a handheld console and not a true home console. You can check out the full Digital Foundry analysis right below.

As already mentioned, some new details about the Nintendo NX console have been revealed by Eurogamer. Apparently, the console will be a high-powered handheld console with detachable controllers, with some sort of dock station allowing players to connect it to the TV.

On the move, NX will function as a high-powered handheld console with its own display. So far so normal – but here’s the twist: we’ve heard the screen is bookended by two controller sections on either side, which can be attached or detached as required.

Then, when you get home, the system can connect to your TV for gaming on the big screen.

A base unit, or dock station, is used to connect the brain of the NX – within the controller – to display on your TV.

The Nintendo NX launches during March 2017 in all regions. We will keep you updated on the new console as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
