PlayStation LifeStyle Looking for a Newsie (Paid)

Hey all,

Not sure if any of you know me, but I'm the Editor-in-Chief of PlayStation LifeStyle, which is the biggest (in terms of traffic) non-Sony affiliated PlayStation site in the world. The company is owned by a larger corporation (Crave), and its main base is in the US, but I'm based here in Manila. :)

I'm currently looking for a news writer that can write 4-5 news posts a day and yes, it's a paid gig. Not a lot, mind, but more than enough so you can buy a few games every month. And not to mention, this is a good step to being a professional games media writer.

Site: http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/

If you know how to write using AP Style (US), then all the better, but it's not mandatory. As always when applying for a writing gig, grammar, punctuation, spelling and all that need to be top notch, since your writing will be read by millions across the world once published. Also, if you're sending a cover letter (resumes not necessary), please make sure it's error free.

You can apply from anywhere, as long as you have a stable internet connection.

You can check where to send applications in my Twitter profile: https://twitter.com/excaliburps (don't want to post a direct link to it due to spam).

Start date: First week of November
News posts needed per day: 4-5
PlayStation fan: Mandatory

Thanks, mods! =)

A few questions, if you do not mind.

1. News entries could come from anywhere right?
2. Is this a full time gig or can it be a part time one as long as one fulfills the article quota?
3. I guess article turnaround speed is a factor as well?

1) Yes. :)
2) Well, it's part-time, but there's room for growth. As long as the person can provide the news at the time I want them, it's all good.
3) Yes, but not reall. I mean, I don't care if it takes a person five minutes or 20 to write a news piece as long as they can pick timely news and post it during the time I need them. :)

---

Guys, send applications but just know that I do get a TON of emails each day. I haven't announced this opening publicly on Twitter or on the site yet, since I want to give people here first dibs. If someone's good enough, I'm going with him/her.

I do need one ASAP, since I need someone to write starting Monday or Tuesday at the very least. If I don't get anyone here, I'll start looking in the US/UK, etc as early as this weekend.

Guys, it's November 2 already. Hopefully, someone qualified comes from PPS (and PH) in general. :) Just posting to let you know I haven't picked anyone yet. Lots of applicants already, though.
