In a Japanese Nintendo Direct presentation today, Capcom announced a new Monster Hunter for 3DS: Monster Hunter X. It debuted with a pretty incredible trailer:
There’s a lot for Monster Hunter fans to get excited about here. There appear to be new special moves for pretty much every weapon shown, and they are EXTREMELY flashy. Capcom also appears to have sexed up the traditionally rather unsexy gunner role. I’m pretty sure I saw some new weapons, as well as new ways to use existing ones - at one point a hunter sticks what looks like the Insect Glaive into the ground, and there’s also a hunter vaulting over the back of a Rathian and SHOOTING DOWN ON ITS BACK, which is very cool indeed. The action seems faster and more ostentatious overall - looks like there are plenty of opportunities to show off.
Interestingly, though a good half of the areas on show were unfamiliar to me, a few of them were definitely present in 4, Tri, and I’m pretty sure I saw the original Monster Hunter village from G (and the one from 3 Portable). Perhaps Monster Hunter Cross is more than just a name.
It’ll be out in Japan this year. Predictably, there’s no word of a Western release at this stage.

OH EM GEE!!! MH has gone "magical" this time around.... give and take sept siguro to lalabas, sana lang pwede sa normal na 3DS LL
Looks like skipping 4g/4u wasn't so bad after all....

Yeah maganda yung boss battles. Cringe lang nga ako sa low poly count and textures.

...honga eh, pero kahit ganun ganda parin tingnan. sa tingin ko naman sa 3ds screen mismo di ganyan kagrabe texture pag nilalaro mo na.

Malamang he's anticipating na malolocalize din naman yung MHX.. and may workaround na din para maging region free yung 3DS..

I think gagayahin nila yung sa mh4 na hindi nila ni release states..tapos yung ultimate ver. Na yung na release s states hehe..yun ang target ko mhx ultimate kung sakali.
Pero sana ma port yung mh4u sa vita parang triple aaa title ang dating

^sa nakikita ko, experimental muna etong MHX tapos pag pumatok yung gimmick nila at madaming demand saka nila ipoport sa west... mahirap din maglocalize kung tutuusin
only game in my list right now that is worth hyping for nga pala, the preload is already up so if you have a local ccard that you can use for the eshop i suggest you go for it now para sa launch day konting data file na lang ang need na madownload
in fact, i already pre-installed mine (about 1.5GB) ... all i need is to wait for the game to come out, download the remaining files and im all set
nga pala, sa mga magtatanong kung magkano damage, nasa 2,300+ petot din, not bad for an import game lalo pa MHX to
