Somewhat OT -

The behavior of a huge number of fans booing when the NZ team was performing their Haka was really a display of bad taste and international cultural ignorance.

Even the Event Organizers not stopping the music while the Haka was ongoing was showed a lack of coordination and knowledge.

Honestly, nahiya ako sa pagiging pinoy ko nung time na yun.
World Class Basketball, World Class Venue... Third World Crowd.

Just wondering since tayo ang host diba tayo dapat ang gumawa ng schedule? Sana ginawa munang Fra vs NZ nung 2nd day TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION Phi vs NZ kahapon para kahit panu nakapahinga pa Gilas TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION medyo pagod na NZ :bigmouth:

RE: Scheduling
That was the big issue when the hosting was awarded to us. It didn't gave us the home team a favorable schedule. 2 quick games agad. walang pahinga.
Kinginang Fiba yan. Pinag-host na nga eh di binigyan ng matinong schedule ang home team.

Medyo puno ang MOA arena kagabi sa finals France vs Canada. I hope na "plus points" ito for a chance na mag host ulit tayo ng Fiba tournament.

Congrats France!

Muntik pa mag choke. Buti nalang nag init si TR to close the game!

No problem sa offense. Mas maganda ikot ng bola pag walang tunay na import.

Ang kulang lang ng Gilas ay legit rim protector and defensive rebounder against 7 footers.

Man, Terrence Romeo was fricking impressive yesterday. He's probably the best one on one player the Philippines has right now. I was not a fan of his in college, but with his improved maturity and dedication to his craft, he's certainly improved a lot compared to his college days.

One guy who has also impressed me thus far is Matthew Wright.

Terrence Romeo doing Romeo things (both good and bad). I've learned to live with it sa Gilas kasi maliban kay Castro, siya lang din yung isa pang playmaker/shot creator natin.

mas malala pa sa pag atras ang ginawa niya.. nagpa eject siya sa laro.. pwede naman niyan iconfront and even murahin or itulak.. pero dahil bobo at mahilig talaga sa pananakit hinead butt niya.. nung last time nasibak sa gilas roster pa drama drama at paiyak iyak pa.. ngayong nakasama sa roster kagaguhan lang pala ang gagawin.. he's representing the country.. and dapat yung kapakanan ng team and yung makapag contribute iniisip niya.. buti na lang hindi nangyari sa crucial part ng laro dahil magiging game changer yung ginawa niya..

Nice win again! Great adjustment nung 3rd qtr! Halftime score 32-31, end of 3rd qtr 60-40!

Ok itong si Christian Stanhardinger. Magaling pumwesto at quick release niya na boarding agad kaya mahirap mapalpal. Parang Luis Scola laro!

haha asa sa import ang Iraq.. nangalabaw kasi nung 1st half then naubusannung 2nd half.. and who would have thought carl bryan cruz can contribute sa international level.. pwede na sila makalayo nung 2nd quarter pa lang if hindi sumablay mga point blank attempt nila standhardinger and japeth.. buti talaga nag connect na nung third quarter.. tapang din ni chot using a 3 guard combo (romeo.. castro.. wright) during that big run..

Imagine if Australia deployed their NBA players...Bogut, Mills, Dellavedova, Thon Maker, Exum, Ingles, Baynes, Ben Simmons.
