Question about PS3 SLIM 320gb

Good day to everyone.I just want to know if having an external usb turbo cooling fan help prevent overheating,does it help my PS3 cool down more?in summing it all up,is it useful to have a usb turbo cooling fan in my PS3 slim 320gb.thanks in advance
