Paramount is giving it another try because of the successful Star Trek film of 2009. That movie, which featured a young Captain Kirk and Spock, was a big box office success. The new game will be set in that same universe, with an original story. Players can assume the roles of Kirk and Spock in the game. And they can play cooperatively as well in multiplayer mode.

Wow, Sony display to us a brief teaser trailer of a new Star Trek title available for the Playstation 3, using the Move peripheral too, and it looks hot.

It's a shame we didn't get to see more of this one, because this looks like the first Star Trek title that will actually be, well, decent. With a similar look to Star Wars: The Force Unleashed' - we're looking at a third-person adventure/shooter title, blasting your way through and bolding going where no man has gone before.
