disc read error, please help

hey guys i got a problem on my ps2.. when i tried to play a disc game or dvd it always say a "disc read error"
so i hurried to brochiere they did a process which i saw in the net, but nothing has happen.... so, im wondering if i got to change the lens of my console, can it be the solution to disc read error? pls help...... i got a ps3 but i can afford to buy its game, occasionally eheheh so im going back to my ps2.

sir kelan pa yung ps2 mo? may game lang ba o dvd na di gumagana or lahat talaga ayaw? and also legit ba sya or yung mga recopies na? kung recopy kase yun ang reason for sure...namimile sya ng bala na magandang kopya...kung legit naman malabong magkaproblema kase orig yun.

i think i was a 3 year old na, it was a modified from dubai. than lately when i played any game or dvd it was a "disc read error" other word it wont play anything.....

hindi man sya namimili ng bala, dati!even pirated game or dvd it played.. but both now not played...
pinachacked ko sa brochirre, they did somthing but not worked parin eh

DRE comes out pag mahina ang emit nung laser ng lens nung unit.

Ano unit mo?

How to solve:
1. Re-align lens.. May PDF manual sa net on how to realign the lens. Both DVD/CD knobs.
2. Try other copy of your games.
3. Clean the lens.
4. Replace the lens.

lately, i got to green hill,,, nina lang... said maayos but it takes weeks, matatagalan daw TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION hanap pa peysa,,,, kainis hehehehe but the bottom line is maayos.... hehehehe it cost 3000 not bad na ba?

kung pinalagyan ba nang hard disk yan? makakaplay parin ng mga dvd games? or TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION mga games TEXT SPEAK VIOLATION na nakaload sa hard disk?

used to have the same prob with my PS2, after pina-cleaning ko, ok naman na kasi palitan na sila ng PS3, kaya lang yung ibang mga re-burned games ayaw umandar..

I mean umaandar sya, pero nawawalan ng sound, o kaya hanggang PS2 logo lang tapos black screen, dun lang to sa mga bagong kopya ng mga games kasi yung dati ko mga 5 years ago na, works perfectly parin...

any advice? as DVD ba na ginagamit to? kasi parang namimili ng DVD-R/DVD+R yung PS2 ko

pati orig na games ayaw gumana? kung ayaw, baka lens mo may diperensya. try cleaning it.

If you're gonna pay 3k to have it fixed, just buy a new one.

- regarding jack sparrow games, try to get its ISO and burned it to a better quality dvdr.

- if it recurs even in an original copy, then either your lens needs cleaning, re-alignment, or replacement.

- try to check also the modchip.

- when playing your precious console, make sure it's well ventilated.
