^minsan lang mako makipag-debate about religion. this month lang andami kong ka-debateng atheist sa isang site including a moderator. napunta usapan namin sa "bible condones slavery". inisa isa ko pagtatama sa pagintindi nila sa bible hanggang sa wala na silang masabi at napahiya nila. hindi na sila makasagot sa mga tanong ko. after that biglang binura ang thread. ewan ko kung yung ka-debate kong mod na atheist ang nagbura.

naka receive pa nga ako ng PM sa isang atheist. mukhang babalik daw sya sa paniniwala sa Diyos pero di pa kaya hehe

don't get me wrong

It's just that don't feel like being told and believe what i want to. I respect others who believe in Gods, I'm not like those stereotypes that blame shht on religion just because things didn't turned out their way.

yeah! i feel the same way. yun lang I have my own religion. ganyan din iniisip ko kung atheist ako, i dont look down on people who have beliefs different than my own. kung wala eh di wala

^Amen brother...yeah we can live in peace even with different beliefs...its just that some people are not comfortable with that and had to run their mouth...you know who you are...

siguro gusto lang nila magshare ng kanilang paniniwala kay God. and I think that is a part of Christianity. to share and spread the gospel. if may ma-convert sa inyo na nonbelievers, di very good

pag wala, well at least you know your options. and yeah, we can always live together in peace. because God loves you no matter what

tawag dun sa "aggressive" atheist are militant atheist.

the way they argue, parang may mandate sila na i-convert ang mga tao much like other religions.

when i talk to other atheists , they give me the same reason , like god is not with them whenever he/she needs them.

This is sad indeed. Parang ang nangyari, dahil hindi nangyari yung gusto nila, nabago na belief nila. On the other side din naman, meron yung mga may nangyari na maganda sa kanila, bigla nang naging believer. So I guess it's expected due to human nature. You get promised that you'll never be alone and you believe that promise, you either end up really happy or really disappointed.

Ang problema sa ganyan, the belief or non-belief is based on serving the benefit of the person. Hindi based on critical thinking or, i dare say, conscience. Amazingly, however, this basis of belief or non-belief is really powerful. Man, afterall, is a selfish creature.

The word "science" really has no business being in the word "conscience".
