Konami Preps For Giant Gaming Show with Its Own Pre-E3 Global Screening
The developer behind Castlevania, Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid plans to hold a global online screen event the week before this year's E3 to help "build buzz" before the big show, Konami said today.

"The annual E3 show is the world's marquee video game conference and trade show event that draws a critical mass of gaming enthusiasts from all over the globe," said Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "This year, we want to build buzz ahead of E3 by hosting our own Pre-E3 show that will tie the viewing party attendees from each city with online viewers through Flickr, Twitter and Facebook."

The June 2 screening will include live events in a number of cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Toronto, São Paulo and Mexico City.

The viewing events in each city will be open to "a select number of journalists, gamers and KONAMI fans" and will include new company announcements, exclusive interviews with developers, and never-before-seen game trailers.

The Konami show will be "simulcast" on several online sites and gaming outlets, the company says.

Ubisoft Reveals its E3 2011 Line-Up

And so it begins. Ubisoft has today confirmed its line up for E3 2011 and it's a predictably strong showing, with Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon and a whole host of other titles planned for the biggest trade show in the gaming calendar. It's gonna be a biggy that's for sure, which should be a fitting celebration for Ubisoft's 25th anniversary.

“Ubisoft has been delivering top-notch entertainment for 25 years, and we’re incredibly grateful for all of our fans,” said Yves Guillemot, Ubisoft CEO. “We plan for the upcoming years to be just as exciting and full of innovation, and the wide range of creative, fun and unique titles we’re demonstrating at E3 illustrate the stellar talent of our development teams and Ubisoft’s ongoing investment in delivering entertaining and innovative products to consumers.”

Ubisoft will be showing the following games at E3 2011:

Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Call of Juarez: The Cartel
Driver: San Francisco
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
Rayman Origins
Rocksmith
From Dust

Get ready for E3 2011 from June 7th to June 9th. Expect some surprises too no doubt.

Yay, he's back! :cheer:

Most anticipated title at E3 for me is Bioshock Infinite. I hope Ken Levine will tell more fascinating stories about Columbia and hope the atmosphere from the first game is back and better than ever. :agree:

I'm also expecting something big from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. My game of the year so far. :win:

“Huge fighting franchise” to return at E3

The official Twitter for the UK’s Play magazine has let loose some exciting teases for June 7, the first official day of E3. A recent post states: “On day one of E3 – two zombie games, a huge interview, a massive Sony exclusive and return of a huge fighting game franchise among others.”

Any guesses? SoulCalibur V has already been revealed, Street Fighter and Tekken are soon to get back in the ring; perhaps it’s time for a new entry in the Virtua Fighter series?

As for the Sony exclusive, we’d imagine that’s going to be shown first at their conference on July 6.
