hapibanana21: may nagbabasa ba dito ng manga ng air gear? maganda ba? ngayon ko lang kasi napanood yung OVA and nalupitan ako dun sa mga nangyayari kaya lang mukhang medyo malayo na to sa mga nangyari sa last episode nung series.

MADzICE: Ako, kakatapos lang nun. Nung umpisa parang roller blade sports manga sya tapos naging fantasy(special powers) tapos halos naging mainstream fighting manga na. Ok lang para sakin. 7/10

MADzICE: Tama, art stlye is very good!

Php525 yung isang volume ng Attack on Titan, Php450 kapag may sale sila.

Yun nga lang hindi ko pa nasusubukang bumila sa kanila, pero baka bumili ako this week since may stock na sila ng Book Girl (novel).

3 times a year yung release ng volumes ng Attack on Titan (from Wikipedia).

@Daniel

@grayfox17

----------------------
Napuyat ako sa Attack on Titans. Naenjoy ko sobra :cheer: Pina reserve ko narin yung Volume 6-9. Sana sa Saturday dumating na.

BTW ano pa magandang manga? Gusto ko naman eh slice of life na genre ex.Honey and clover.

In the event na kelangan mo i-resell mataas ang value nyan kasi authentic straight from japan di ba?

Yung I's and slamdunk 2 siguro late 90s pa pero Hindi parin nag yyellow yung pages.

Anyway. Pag natapos ko na yung Attack on Titan and mga spin offs niya baka mag one piece naman ako. Kaso ang mahal nung 1-23 ng Fullybooked.
http://www.fullybookedonline.com/one-piece-1-23

------------------------------------

Maganda din pala yung AoT junior high. Medyo depressing and dark yung main story kaya maganda din basahin yun in-between.

I haven't bought manga for awhile now. But I been buying items from ebay from sellers in the US for a couple of months now. I learned alot of things.

Despite how reliable USPS (US Postal service), I've lost one package to PHLPost. That's why I require all my shipping to have a tracking number. At least, if the postal service lose my package. I can easily ask the postal service to refund me because they can easily track the mail and verify that it really did get loss. USPS is still good, they will get your package in here within 2-3 weeks. It's PHLPost is I don't trust.

Custom Tax is a hit or miss. There have been times I paid more than 1k. And sometimes, it's just a couple hundred of bucks. Despite how the items I been buying are practically from the same category. The tax is computed based on the items value. So if you can somehow show the customs officers a a lower value. The tax is very minimal as well. You need to show, proof of payment. Since I use paypal, I show them email message paypal gives to me after I made a payment. Since the email has very few details. They can be sometime be fooled by it. I had shipment came from the US but the paypal payment I've showed was a package I bought in another country. Since the custom officer is kinda old. He didn't check the details in the email. Use your phone to check the email.

But what I recommend is you use Johnny Air, if you are buying in the US. The charge you based on package weight. It's $5.99 per pound plus $5 handling fee. The total dollar value is then converted to pesos. And pesos amount will be charged with 12% VAT. No Custom tax was charged to me.

For example. I shipped an item recently. Here's the computation.

It's a 7 lbs. package. So $5.99 x 7 = $41.93 + $5 (handling fee) = $46.93 x P45.60 = P 2,140.01 + P 256.80 (12% VAT) = P2,396.81

I know, it's still alot of money. But trust me, my friend tells me that's alot cheaper than what he paid for. He was paying like $120 more for shipping and custom tax. And my package was faster by 4 days.

I know, Amazon has quite the extensive stock of manga. You can try to buy your manga there. Then have Johnny Air shipped your manga.

If the item I want to buy is half a pound, the charge will still be 5.99? I'm curious but not for buying manga.

RIght now, there's plenty of cheaper ways to obtain the manga you want. There's Fully Booked, National Bookstore's Special Book order. Even LBC now offers "Buy from the US to your doorsteps" kind of service.

I ordered a game guide last week from NBS and their price was reasonable enough considering it isn't available in this country.
