Reason being na sa Ateneo pa si Buenafe, and if something like this were true matagal nang pinakawalan yan. Anyway, ateneo is still pretty deep with talent even without buenafe. Bumalik si Sumalinog, si kiefer nan diyan na din to step in with the playmaking that buenafe was capable of. Malaking kawalan nga lang si Buenafe.

Yung official statement ng Ateneo ay na hindi daw nila linagay sa team si Buenafe this year dahil 260 lbs siya. Too overweight daw to make a good contribution to the team. Labo nga eh.

Yung kay slaughter naman, that's just other teams trying to take away slaughter para mabawasan ng advantage ateneo, much like yung ginagawa ng mga ibang teams kay Parks sa NU. Don't know much about the rules, pero national team naman sinalihan niya eh.

di naman nawawalan ng talent ang ateneo eh, deep roster every season, ganda kasi ng recruitment nila, tsaka their basketball program speaks of championships and being successful

260 lbs??? damn,... teka, sino ba yung other teammate involved? sayang talaga contribution ni buenafe, scorer at playmaker yun...

Well di uusok kung walang apoy.

agree, something smells fishy with the Buenafe situation. Still reluctant to believe it though.

:bigmouth:

:bigmouth:

last year pa may problema sa grades si Buenafe kaya kapag mga pre season tourneys wala siya. 2nd sem and summer kaya naman nila bawiin yung grades nila. Yung kay wesley Gonzales yata disciplinary action ginawa sa kanya, nakipag sapakan yata or something kaya na suspend for 1 season.

And right now I think and dark horse are NU and DLSU.. yung AdU last season team to beat na tapos intact pa sila ngayon. DLSU is very methodological while NU got raw potential. Well I'm hoping 0-14 ulit ang UP.. :2thumbs:

That was the reason he left the team. His academics were fine.

the only good thing to look forward for DLSU is that LA Revilla has been playing refreshed and rejuvenated. i really thought he was done when he got ill but this pre-season he has proved his worth to the team and just exceeded expectations from him after getting sick. he's like Grant Hill for the suns when we all thought Hill couldn't play like his old self. quite a fitting comparison since it's also a feel good story for Revilla.

sayang nga si Buenafe kung ok lang ang attitude nya. gold standard pa naman sya kasi isipin mo mula highschool laging champion yan and he hasn't lost a season with ADMU.

Elorde went to ADMU, Banal went to Mapua, Tolentino went to DLSU-CSB.
