"Another criticism, albeit minor, is the game's utter lack of replayability. Once you're done (especially if you've played it on Hard from the start), there's sod-all reason to go back and do it again, and with no multiplayer options to speak of whatsoever, you won't even be able to try out these interesting weapons and abilities against one another, or in co-op, say. Admittedly, the very nature of the gameplay would throw up all manner of technical headaches, but nevertheless, set against some stiff competition, Jericho needs all the selling points it can get.

On the whole, Jericho is an intriguing experiment that almost comes off for Codemasters. Clive Barker's contribution to the concept and narrative direction of the game will certainly help get the attention of horror fans, and few who put the time into exploring Jericho's intricacies will come away disappointed. With its unique squad-based focus and the huge combat variety on offer, it breaks plenty of new ground for the genre - and were it not for a few rough edges would have been bordering on essential. As it stands, Jericho is definitely one that all horror fans should check out - if your bank balance can cope."

nyay FPS na walang multiplayer/co-op

"Conclusion
I can't help feeling that any sixth form Goth could have produced a story this formulaic and derivative in one free period. This would have saved Codemasters a bundle that it could have spent on more impressive visuals. If there is a better story editor and improved graphics, Jericho 2 could be well worth a look to those who want a mixture of gun and spell-casting. "

maybe Barker should learn how to make story from Game Republic's Folklore wahehehe

90/100 from GamePRO
mixed review talaga itong game...

http://www.gamepro.com/microsoft/xbox36 ... 2968.shtml

"While the stage design is awesome, there are some horrendously long load times involved. It makes sense given the game's graphical prowess but it really cuts into the sense of immersion that the game's atmosphere does such a great job of instilling. ... Jericho still manages to shine bright. Its slick style, amazing graphics, and dark atmosphere really make it stand out.

been waiting for reviews of this game

IGN - 5.6/10

http://ps3.ign.com/articles/830/830826p1.html
Upon first entering the game world, you'll probably want to like this game. The visuals can be pretty good, particularly some of the enemy designs and larger indoor environments (the sprawling coliseum battle springs to mind). Voice work tends to be rather forced, and not in the campy sort of way. And while environmental sounds held up thanks to some well produced ambient tracks, the visuals and audio never coalesced to form any real sense of atmosphere. They don't distract you from the game's simplistic underlying structure. Instead of getting caught up in the struggle against a demonic force that threatens the continued existence of your race, you're left with tacked-on squad elements, poor friendly and enemy AI, repetitive encounters, and unabashedly linear levels. Jericho has a few memorable moments, but they're not worth the cash.
5.5 Presentation
Non-interactive cut-scenes are too frequent, removing you from the action, and breaking the already feeble immersion. UI does its job. The main problem is an almost total lack of ambiance.
7.0 Graphics
It can be pretty at times, in a disgusting sort of way. Though some of the enemy models are interesting, the Jericho squad members don laughably ridiculous outfits.
6.5 Sound
Weak gunfire sounds and poor voice acting. Some of the ambient environmental music and effects at least try to create a sense of atmposphere.
5.5 Gameplay
Bad monster AI means simplistic, uninteresting gun battles. The need to revive squad members interferes with the flow of battle far too often.
3.0 Lasting Appeal
Short single player campaign. You won't want to play it through again.
5.6
Mediocre
OVERALL
(out of 10 / not an average)
lolz :-D
