I wish we can merge weapons and make it 1 ultimate weapon, just like in Advent Children movie.

similar thing was done in ff8 di ba? you need specific mats to craft or upgade a particular weapon...

yes but that's a different thing. it's like transformers with 5 different robots transforming into 1 big one. :D

Famitsu this week features an interview with Yoshinori Kitase, who is producing the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake for PlayStation 4.

“We’re starting to see the visual direction,” Kitase said of the remake. “On the other hand, we’re currently working out the battle system and such through trial-and-error.”

“Since there’s a possibility that the command battle system of the old days might not work today, we’re thinking hard about what kind of direction we can take it.

“Normally, when you do a remake, it becomes somewhere along the lines of a familiar action RPG, so we’re looking at how we can put out something like Final Fantasy VII while still surprising players.

“Please don’t ask about how far into development we are and such. (Laughs.)” :lol: :lol: :lol: :facepalm:

i guess ff7 remake will not contain the psx battle system.. i guess a part of it will make it to the remake with added battle mechanics..
I'd say yung style ng FF15 ma-incorporate din since existing game engine. It's time to control Cloud and his gang real time in battle.

I'd still prefer the ATB turned based battle system na pwede mo i-command lahat ng mga party members mo sa battle. Siguro tweak lang ng onti. :)

I think I prefer SE being completely hush hush or kuripot sa updates unless it's huge news. News like this are kinda expected on a developer's perspective.

im sure SE got their hands tied sa FFXV bec it has been long overdue so uunahin talaga nilang ayusin muna yun. Chances are, matagal talaga bago tayo makakita ng actual work in progress dito sa remake. Same thing like what happened sa ffxv, pinatakam tayo ng pagka ganda-gandang trailer tapos nabaon na sa limot, di na ko magtataka kung ganun din mangyari dito sa remake... won't expecting too much about this. :shock:

Wala naman problema kung old school battle system. Sa akin nakakasawa na rin yung utos ka ng utos. I mean I'm all for tweaking. Command the party but options to control their actions or whatever FFXV fighting system engine is. Some battle systems should be updated for modern times to entice new market of gamers. Kung yung Capcom or SNK nga may dinadagdag sa battle/fighting system nila every release why not Final Fantasy.

Or i'm thinking of Party Battle, old school mechanics ang gagamitin then if a certain scenario na solo player lang gamit mo, dun ka lang makakapag-action/adventure battle/fighting format.

...kung mapapaganda nila ng husto yung old FF7 battle system, ok lang din sa akin. Lost Odyssey diba parang ganun? pagandahin pa nila lalo yun, ok na sa akin.

kung tutuusin gusto ko alisin yung eksenang yun kaso kelangan sa kwento eh :sweat:

as for the battle system, yup, nakakatamad din yung puro X na lang pinipindot mo, i would welcome the idea na parang ginawa sa ff13 na mabilisang pitik talaga tapos pag di ka naka react agad mauunahan ka ng kalaban :lol:
