but have you tried "associating" your local cc to the HK psn store?

associate ha ibig sabihin punta ka account management sa ps3 tapos dun mo register details ng cc mo mismo. HINDI sa psn store. for more info, click on my sig and let me know if it is still valid

sana nga may magawa tayo about official support sa Pinas

but it starts with us. sobrang rampat pa rin ang PSP piracy sa Pinas. siyempre hindi naman titignan ng Sony yan at sasabihin na okay, PS3 walang piracy suportahan namin ito. yung iba hindi. its an all-or-nothing thing for Sony. nakikita nila tuloy ang piracy sa PS2 at PSP, bakit naman sila sisipagin na suportahan ang PS3?

dapat ipakita din natin sa Sony na worth it sila mag business sa Pinas. its not like hindi sila nag official launch ng PS2 at PSP sa Pinas. pero ano naging reward nila? una, walang bumili sa mga official retailers nila kasi lahat gusto modified. tapos gusto may "free" games na kasama. eh talagang mag pull out ang isang kumpanya kung ganyan lang dinatnan nila

LOL. a friend and I were discussing the benefits of official support(although some of these are pretty far off)...

- PSN cards in peso currency
- local advertisments for games(imagine Solid Snake plastered on a local billboard, or Lightning hanging on to the MRT)
- our very own E3
- cheaper original games
- easier access to PS3 devkits for local game devs, opening the possibility for PS3 game development in the Phil.
- if they prove worthy, Sony can contract pinoy game devs as second party developers ie insomniac, naughty dog.
- Tagalog dubbed games :evilsmile:
- of course supported warranty

don't forget na we don't have to fibricate our address para lang makagawa ng PSN ID XD

I doubt that they'll let Filipinos develop on the PS3 system. There are a bunch of Filipino developed games and all of those games were horrible. I believe they were NatGeo/Disc. Chan/History Chan (I'm not really sure which) FPS games.


Also, please...let's keep this topic and the one on the PSN forums alive...

And, where can I find the "Asian" section on the PSN forum that one user pointed out?

Please post on the thread. Even the simple "I support this" helps. Whether you're Filipino or not, we would love to get your support.

Additionally, I have added the list of supporters on the Original/First post so it is now easier to see how many supporters we have.

Please...please, post on the thread. If you're against this movement, please, think again. Even if we're able to lower the amount of piracy here in our country, it still won't do since we're not showing Sony that we're actually interested in the products and services (specially the PSN). The least that you can do for us FIlipinos who want PSN support is to post on the thread on the PSN Forums.

All you need to post is a PSN ID and I'm sure you have one if you own a PS3 or PSP.
