@seven11
Your post clearly shows your priorities. Price is the most important factor for you. I understand that point of view.

Ako kasi i always travel due to work. Yung schedule ko nga this month ay pamatay. Nasa Bacolod ako last week. This weekend punta ako ng San Pablo and the next week nasa Urdaneta ako. If I didn't have to travel baka bumuo na lang ako ng gaming desktop.
sa akin naman when travelling i prefer a tablet, either ipad or android tegra tablet, mas bagay ang short term games for travelling, and tablets are way more portable and lasts longer up to 10 hours on a single charge. yun nga lang if hardcore games ang prefer OR for productivity din, only laptops will do.

@swine,

if you'll read the earlier conversations in the thread,
the queries were not regarding the highest end price-is-no-factor models ;
but rather the bang for the buck types and comparing them to each other.

looking for the most powerful laptop models is easy.
pick your brand, its usually the most expensive up the line.

looking for the best value for the money, within a set budget is different
and is usually much trickier. the sweet spot between price and performance.

Tablets are not an option for me. I travel because of work, a laptop is a must for me. It will be ridiculous to see me doing accounting on a tablet. :bigmouth:

ohhh ok...I thought you're looking for a new laptop...mahirap makahanap ng bang for the buck,usually palagi merong choker,either the cpu or gpu...an i5 latest series with a GTX gpu should do,but I doubt you can find it cheap...

btw..looking at the Asus lineup in Villman,the most expensive one is crap for gaming

this one is fine

anti aliasing - off
antisoptric filtering - off
texture quality - High
Radial Blur Q - High
Shadow Detail - High
Decal Quantity - Ultra

Water:(naka check lahat to)
Reflect Land
Reflect Trees
Reflect Objects
Reflect Sky

If I really had the funds, I would order from xoticpc (www.xoticpc.com)

Lalo na sa customizable parts, this one is a big vote.

Ok. After weeks and weeks of asking around and sh*t.....

:facepalm:

Ang gusto ko lang naman ay something that can play Skyrim/BF3 ng high settings with at least 8gb ram for audio recording and all pero ang hirap magdecide. :bigmouth:

What can you guys suggest na medyo hindi naman 6 figures?

-Making of DvD
-Soundtrack
-Map
-Pamphlet and Cursed Coin
-Game Manual/Game Guide
-Paper Craft X2
-Game DvD

^yes and that's another way to offset the PC's more expensive hardware, mura naman software, usually nasa P500 difference ang price, add all that up malaki na rin. and if properly ported to PC, usually superior pa pc version like LA NOIRE, SKYRIM and ARKHAM CITY, which natapos ko na all except arkham city.

.

a very intensive game 3d with all settings set to high, around 2 hours
or less.

a simpler game/ set to medium/ 2d game ....much longer
also, kung meron kang nvidia optimus/ ati equivalent where it auto switches
from the built-in 2nd gen intel gpu kapag low load to the dedicated nvidia gpu
kapag high load helps.

i play laptops near a power source

More or less 2 hours while playing skyrim.

:sweat:

yeah, usually kahit i set mo to maximize performance yung gpu / powersaving settings mo;
a lot of laptop brands dial down the performance when running from the battery lang.

.......

first time kong magka 2nd gen sandy bridge i7 laptops; and i had problems with the
nvidia optimus auto switcher from the intel hd gpu with the dedicated nvidia one.

skyrim of all games were not being properly recognized and didn't auto switch to the dedicated
gpu.... tapos weirdly, the nvidia drivers didn't help fix it; only a few optional windows updates
(which i was holding off on installing in the new laptop) and intel ones did. o_0
