Wi-Tribe 4G on PS3

Quick question. When you guys conduct a speed test. You do set wi-tribe makati as the server, right? Because with this server i normally get a good ping and download speed... 60-70 ms and 1.5 mbps. However, if i change the server to lets say pldt it gives me a 400ms ping and 200 kbps download.

I kind of experiencing really lagged connection lately (last 4 days) and i dont know if its the isp or my modem.

Yup, mejo misinformed mga nagsspeedtest.net dito tungkol sa ping. 90ms dont mean squat kung sa malalapit na server ng sariling isp ang pinagtetestan niyo, di naman jan dumadaan connectionn ng mga kalaro niyo sa mga online games eh. Depende sa location, pldt ang pinakamaganda dahil sa dami ng subscribers nito, meaning mas malaki ang chance na marami kayong makakalarong pinoy via auto matchmaking games like mw3. Mababa din ang ping ng pldt (around 120-150ms) last time i checked kung magpipingtest ka sa mga servers sa japan. Bayantel is sh!t at 400ms when pinging japan. Badtrip sa lahat, mataas pa ang latency kung ibang isp sa pinas ang ipiping, parang wala kasing interconnection agreement mga isp dito eh, kaya kahit kapitbahay mo kalaro mo, kung iba naman isp niya sa yo, lag na lag yan.

I think overall wi tribe has a fast network but controls the usage by limiting access to certain sites. Surfing speed is really great. However, aside from surfing, everything is slow including access to the psn network. As far as my gaming experience with this isp, its really disappointing.

Yes. If you ask for the wifi router as your connecting device, that's the item they provide, a pocket wifi router.

My dad switched from globe to witribe 1mbps.

and I can say I'm thankful enough their zero lock-in period is extended til may 15th.

I'm really going to insist to him that we're like having a dial-up connection and we must avail of the promo ASAP (disconnect).

Is sky broadband that good in terms of downloading files from PSN? We can't subscribe to pldt dsl since dad has some legal problems there. Any suggestions?

Sky has Fair Usage Policy, as well. Don't know for certain the cap but its bigger than Wi-tribe. Read the fine print first before signing up or inquire with their sales office. Downloading can be a pain because volume is not unlimited. You can easily be tagged as a violator which can bring your speed to snail pace.

Yung wi-tribe namin hangang ngayon hindi parinputol kahit hindi na binabayaran.
Kaya hindi namin binabayaran kasi ang bagal at pina pa putol na.

Punta ka sa thread sa facebook... Witribe complaints. May process don pano magpaputol ng walang backcharges. Mayeemail kang DTI officer don, tapos soli modem para di na kayo magbabayad nong backlog charges. Otherwise baka ibigay sa collection agency account nyo.
