After ng mga years na yun nadiscover ko din about sa mga cameras, different formats for different market . That time i wanted to buy a dslr na rin, i wanted the the NIKON d5100, kasi cheap and i heard maganda review sa kanya, pero nung nagbrowse ako sa flickr ng pics using that camera, di ako masatisfy sa quality nya, i dunno pero may certain native sharpness talaga yung fullframe na wala sa crop sensor, di lang yun when it comes to color mas better yung gradiation nya smooth sya which is a plus for skintones!!, also when you view the actual pixel of a shot using a crop sensor camera, youll see noise even at iso100. siguro masyado lang ako maarte, pero in my mind i know the camera will not be put to waste naman, confident din kasi ko na mauutilize ko yung potential ng fullframe if ever i get one, and so ye i skipped the crop sensor and went straight to fullframe. I think i made the right decision, cause im not like most photographers na nagcocollect ng camera with same sensors size (no offense) . my next camera would be a medium format hopefully haha.!!
trust me when i say minsan wala din sa system yan, even pro's would tell you the exact same thing. You just gotta know what you're after (intended outputs) and carry on from that.
Isa sa mga common misconception kasi na the better the cam is, the better the quality of your picture will become - WRONG! its how you shoot lang po yan. Kung naka dslr ka na, mag invest ka sa lente, a full frame cam can only do so much depende sa humahawak; ang photography formula nga daw is 10% gear, 40% light and 50% photographer and that holds true to this day. A kit lens and entry level body can do you wonders kung marunong ka tumimpla
AT marunong ka umilaw ng subject. I personally cannot afford a full frame camera (dito sa sg ang full frame na BODY lang sa second hand market will price to about 6k - 8k SGD and take note, body pa lang yun, pinaka mura yata canon 5d mkii na nasa 2000+ body lang) so i since trip ko talaga mag switch ng hobby i bought an entry level cam tapos praktis praktis na lang hanggang sa nagamay ko na.
As for post processing din, wala namang masama just dont try to overdo it - mahirap mag rely sa photoshop parati to make your photos look good. Ako nga i dont pp much anymore, ilang steps lang sa PS ayos na, no need artehan. All you need is to get your shots right the first time, dyan na ngayon papasok ang timpla sa camera during shoot. It takes time to nail a good shot pero do what I do, mag develop ka ng sarili mong style.
Wag ka masyado mabahala sa noise, photography is all about the picture and NOT the pixels ika nga. Think about street photography, im sure madami ka na nakitang "noisy" na image pero kung titingnan mo as a whole may sense at dating di ba? Tip lang, get back to basics, dun lang ang paraan para maintindihan mo ang tamang pag shoot, eventually magagamay mo din; para sakin you'll never get better until you truly understand ng basic principles of photography - research mo na lang online.
i gave up my ps3 for photography and i never looked back since then...pero nasa ilalim pa rin ng unan ko yung vita
