Agni’s Philosophy, Square Enix’s Next-Gen Final Fantasy Tech Demo

Today is the day of Square Enix trademarks. Or rather, the day we find out just what they were all for. Hot on the heels of Demons’ Score and Drakerider comes Agni’s Philosophy, which we discovered last month. It turns out Agni’s Philosophy was meant for an E3 Final Fantasy realtime tech demo. Watch it below:




Agni’s Philosophy was developed using Square Enix’s Luminous Studio engine. Square Enix say this tech demo is indicative of the quality they hope to strive for in their next-gen games, and will bridge the gap between pre-rendered and realtime characters. Furthermore, Luminous Studio is planned to support everything from game consoles, PC, smartphones, and the web.

Note that the demo isn’t indicative of a game that is confirmed to be in development. Square Enix chose a Final Fantasy theme for the tech demo because they felt the series is known for combining magic and technology in its worlds.

I played FFVII VIII&X sa PS2 I really love it it made me a JRPG gamer now I'm currently playing FFXIII very late na since I quit gaming when PS3 came out a few years ago IMHO it was overprice&waited until this year to purchased 1 since reasonable na yung price ng console&games but my love for Final Fantasy did not die down till now

May Final Fantasy pa pala, was a huge fan of this noong PS 1 era, (I even have original disc of FF 8 na japanese, hindi ko naintinidhan dati nung nilaro ko. playing on a unmodified PS2)

But the reality is, I think Final Fantasy X-2 is the real last of the series kasi Hironobu Sakaguchi already left Square around that time, so I got the impression na yung mga bagong final fantasy eh "imitation" na lang. or something, pero nitpicking lang malamang yan on my part.

Just watch 11.11.11 Vanacon and nostalgia brings me back to the best MMORPG i've played. The long term goals accomplished in the game feels like you've played all the series of the FF franchised. If you hear the OST in game and heard it in the concert, then you can say that you've accomplished that much in FFXI.
