PS3 Slim confirmed at GamesCom

To those who's familiar with the PS3 Technical Parts. Is there a possibility for a PS3 Slim Version?
Just a Curiosity, Like the PSone and the PS2 has a slim type version of console, and PSP as well.

Possible pero hindi siguro masyadong slim. separate na siguro ang Power Supply. IMO much better kasi pag ma sira ang power supply bili nalang ng bago PSU.

Sa ngayon malabo pa kung fat nga medyo nag kakaproblem pa sa ngayon eh pwede na siguro kung magiging kasing tibay na ng ps2 halos natagal ng 4-7 years

Back in 2004, after the PS2 was on the market for four years, Sony went ahead and shrank its design down and brought out a new model dubbed the "slim" PS2. It was a great move and Sony initially couldn't keep up with demand for the system.

Now, five years later, rumors have been percolating that Sony might be preparing to trim the PS3, with an outside chance that the company might have something to say about a new design at E3. At the same time, the reports we've read seem rather dubious, and while Sony may eventually do a redesign, the more likely scenario is a new PS3 with minor cosmetic changes, such as different-color finishes.

Even though I agree that slimming down the ps3 console would be good, I cant shake of the feeling that once sony even releases such a design that it will have alot of problems. Like the Ps2 slim and PSP slim had.. T

E3's just around the corner and, as always, speculation as to what guns the big three platforms holders are going to fire is rife, the latest being of a redesigned PS3 to be revealed at the show next month.

According to reports, Sony is preparing to make TWO hardware redesign-related announcements, one widely believed to be a new PSP, and the other now speculated to be a (possibly slimmer) redesigned PS3.

Sony UK, however, has told us today: "We currently don't have any plans for a redesigned PS3", so you can throw that one out the window.

Frankly, the concept designs look like crap to me. The first one pic sa itaas definitely looks like a Wii with a PS3 cladding.

The one pictured below is the worst.
