On the eve of his 21st birthday, fearless mafia hitman Jackie Estacado is suddenly possessed by the terrifying and spectacular powers of The Darkness. Though his supernatural entity lets him wreak terrible havoc on his enemies, the Darkness also has a strong will of its own and now Jackie must learn how to control it. Gameplay features include a seamless and unique blend of modern crime drama and supernatural horror with both first and third person non-linear progression, ad well as highly destructible environments that enable players to stalk the gritty New York slums, harbors, subway tunnels and rooftops, then defeat the terrifying creatures.

The stores will not carry it.
Dunno what happens if u import from play-asia.
Sometimes, play-asia does refuse to ship to Singapore if banned.

Ouch! I can't believe this got banned in Singapore and not in Germany. Although they ARE changing a lot of stuff in the version that's gonna be sold over there.

Yup, even DB North Edsa mentioned they might get shipments this week. Rather get it at celtex though, since their games are cheaper. : (

yup, basehan ko lang ang DB kung released na ang games, since taga south ako.. so kapag meron na sila, malamang meron na din sa GH.. tapos punta ako GH

Yup! Datablitz! Got it at the SM North Edsa branch. They only had one copy in stock, though. Try calling the other branches.

Edit: Got it for 3200.

After about 5 hours of gameplay, I guess I can give a more detailed description of my experience.

So far, this has gotta be the most immersive game I have played on my PS3. The environments have crazy detail in 'em and all the attention to detail should really surprise you if you just decide to stop killing gangsters for a few minutes and just immerse yourself in the world. Anyway, we all probably know The Darkness looks good, but what really sets it apart from other First Person Shooters is its fantastic story. I've never played an FPS with dialogue this good before. The superb writing even makes it way to the loading screen. Yup, Jackie (the main character) gives the player a little monologue every time the game loads so you're never just staring at a blank loading screen for a long time.

Despite all that praise, the game does have its few share of cons and some of them are exclusive to the PS3 version. PS3 version lacks both AA and motion-blur so expect to see some jaggies here and there, but they're not that bad. You'd have to look pretty hard to spot the difference between the two versions of the game. Now I'm sure heres a problem that's also including in the 360 version: Online isn't worth your time. Starbreeze themselves admitted that the online portion of the game was pretty much a gimmick -- and it shows. All the crap that makes the single-player great is taken out and all you've got left is a generic shooter with some shoddy netcode.
