Official Splatoon-themed headset for Switch launching in Japan alongside Splatoon 2



Today, Nintendo revealed via the official Splatoon Twitter account that a Splatoon-themed headset for the Switch will be released in Japan. Manufactured by video game accessory giant HORI, the headset will allow you to more easily use voice chat in Splatoon 2 (and other supported Switch games) via Nintendo’s smart phone app.

The headset comes with an adapter which you have to connect to both your smartphone and your Switch, which results in better quality audio input and output compared to a setup where you’re just using your smartphone and no headset. The headset will be released on July 21st for a price of 3480 Yen.

Nintendo Switch's Online Service Will Be $20/Year, Includes Classic Games

Nintendo confirmed that this monthly plan has indeed changed, telling Kotaku: “Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will have ongoing access to a library of classic games with added online play. Users can play as many of the games as they want, as often as they like, as long as they have an active subscription.”

Buti naman at nagbago na yung free games for subscribers. Parang open library na lang sya tapos laro to sawa habang subscribed. Sana naman sama nila SNES games. Baduy naman kung puro NES games lang libre. Damay na rin nila N64 at Game cube

Lol this is hands down the worst implementation I've seen for a chat headset I just can't take this thing seriously as a legitimate option for online gaming with these terrible design decisions.

The way they're handling the free classic games is good though, and I'm glad they went away from the old model. That only NES games are confirmed so far, probably means the mini SNES console is coming this year.

tatlong snes games lang ang gusto ko maimplement nila sa switch: chrono trigger, mario rpg, yuyu hakusho tournament at tmnt tournament solb na ko.

anyway, im not sold yet with this game for now...will have to see first on what else it can offer.

Switch demand continues to outpace supply across the world. This is particularly evident in Japan, where consumers are having to participate in lotteries just for a chance to obtain a system of their own.

The Bic Camera below had just 37 units in stock. 10 gray systems were available along with 27 for the neon version. This is one area that handled the distribution of Switch stock via lottery.






It’s not only at this single location where people are lining up. Similar photos have been snapped at other places across Japan.





Getting more stock out there may continue to be a problem for Nintendo. The industry as a whole is said to be facing a shortage of parts needed to make certain devices, including Switch.
