Final Fantasy IX, one of the best Final Fantasy games, is coming to PC and smartphones at some point in 2016, Square Enix announced today in Japan.
Square didn’t announce a western release but it’s safe to say one will follow, given that every other Final Fantasy mobile and PC port has made it to U.S. shores.
It’s not quite clear how much they’re changing for this version, but the trailer (above) shows sharpened, higher-res versions of characters like Zidane, not unlike the PC versions of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII. Square’s promising “high-definition graphics, newly added achievements, auto-save, high speed mode, and several game boosting features.â€
(High speed mode is an A+ addition, as we’ve discovered with the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII.)
eto lang yata yung ff na twice ko lang pinagtyagaang laruin. Its not that its bad, actually, ok nga etong ff9 kasi it went back to its medieval roots engkaso hindi nga lang ganun ka-memorable. Nung lumabas to andun pa rin yung clamour ng fans about ff7 - effectively nasapawan yung 8 and 9. Medyo naka-move on lang ang tao from ff7 when ffx came out kasi its on ps2. Based lang naman to sa trend back in the days when i last remembered it.
Anyway, i dont mind playing this title again - provided i get rid of my backlogs muna hehe
