Same here. Although i do think it is too early to out nintendo in the game yet. Ps4 promises great features after early reveals. Im sure di magpapahuli si microsoft. All 3 companies can fight tooth and nail with each other, bec at the end, tayong gamers din makikinabang dyan.

Wondering though... Di kaya yung mini na xbox lang ang reveal nila dyan? Yung pang tapat nila sa apple tv.... Hmmm...

Microsoft’s next-generation Xbox video game and home entertainment consoled will be unveiled in less than a month on May 21st, and we should expect a steady flow of rumors and leaks leading up to the official debut. The latest report comes from Forbes, which claims that the next Xbox may launch as the “Xbox Infinity,” though recent rumors suggested the name might simply be “Xbox.” More interestingly, Forbes claims multiple sources at Microsoft have said that the next Xbox’s controllers will feature a clickable touch-sensitive area that will support gestures and other functions. Other recent reports suggest that the upcoming Xbox 360 successor will not require an always-on Internet connection as had previously been rumored, but game publishers will have the option of requiring an Internet connection for individual games if they desire.

Tingin ko kailangan na tapatan ng MS ang PS4 kaya siguro yung next xbox na talaga ang irereveal dito. Otherwise baka malate na sila, usually kasi ang habol nila is holiday release dahil malaki kinikita nila dun. Yung WiiU as of now di ko alam kung paano hahabol, in terms of hardware kasi kalevel niya lang ang ps3 at xbox360 eh.

On topic though, I hope hindi talaga nila gawin yung "always online" feature...magastos yun kasi kailangan mo parati mag subscribe sa xbox live. Unless na lang gawin na din nila libre tulad ng psn which I HIGHLY doubt.

Well, yung next game ng Respawn Entertainment (An EA partner studio from the former heads of infinity ward) ay allegedly Xbox exclusive daw and allegedly requires a persistent internet connection. We'll find out on the 22nd I guess. As always, with any rumor this should be taken with a grain of salt.

New Xbox Delayed Into 2014 Due To 10 Year Sony Exclusive On Blu-ray Playback

Whilst most expect (or hope) the PlayStation 4 to land (somewhere) this year, a new rumour surfacing this morning suggests that the new Xbox, due to revealed soon, might not be so lucky.

The rumour claims that there’s a ten year exclusivity window on console-based Blu-ray movie playback, and Sony have that exclusivity. It’ll expire in 2014, so if this is true, and Microsoft want the new Xbox to play Blu-ray movies, they’ll have to wait.

It’s not clear whether this only applies to Italy (where the rumour stems from) or wider Europe (or wider still) but it’s an interesting one.

The rumour comes via high level staff at an Italian entertainment distributor, who is apparently saying the company is only counting on one console launching this year – the PS4. Whether or not Microsoft would delay the console launch because of this is anyone’s guess.

The next-generation Xbox, scheduled to be announced on May 21, will work without an internet connection, according to a memo sent out to Microsoft employees working on the console, obtained by ArsTechnika.

“Durango [the codename for the next Xbox] is designed to deliver the future of entertainment while engineered to be tolerant of today’s Internet,” reads the memo. “There are a number of scenarios that our users expect to work without an Internet connection, and those should ‘just work’ regardless of their current connection status. Those include, but are not limited to: playing a Blu-ray disc, watching live TV, and yes playing a single player game.”

Ars Technica sources also say the console will allow live TV viewing and provide TV listings and similar information.

Microsoft reveals its two part console reveal for the next Xbox

The next Xbox console will be revealed in two stages, according to Microsoft's interactive entertainment chief of staff Aaron Greenberg speaking on the latest Major Nelson podcast.

As was previously announced, the first stage of the reveal begins May 21 in which the company will unveil its next generation Xbox console. The second presentation will take place during E3 and focus squarely on the games that will release for the new platform.

"We have so much goodness that there's no way we could have packed it all into one event," Greenberg stated, as transcribed by CVG.

"The best way I can describe it is, we're really going to tell one story across two events. So we're going to start on the 21 [of May] and really that's about revealing the next Xbox platform and our vision for the future of games, the future of entertainment. We definitely have a lot of surprises planned.

"People are going to get a great inside look at the making of the new platform and the team that brought it to life. To be honest it's really about the team, the people here. We've never done this before, so it's really exciting to be able to do that.

"It's a lot of laying the foundation, and then just a couple weeks later we go to E3, and E3 is all about the games. It's going to be tons of exclusives [and] world premiers."
