Easy mode seems way too easy, while Normal can be quite a challenge (mostly in the beginning). They removed the fighting styles indeed, i kinda like that in the original Witcher (not to fond of the timed button presses however)

i think this title is more gpu intensive, as long as you get a quadcore cpu and a mid to midhigh vc, you're good to go.

of course if you have the money for i7 quad or even hexacores, the better, sandy bridge is the best cpu right now, kahit i5 sandy bridge kaya pantayan top of the line 1st gen i7

try using traps and bombs, use quen or other signs, try parrying/blocking or target locking the enemies as well. Playing the game like a hack and slash without preparing like drinking a potion or not oiling your weapon can make a huge difference.

i've read all about that, but the combat is just not responsive enough for me, even blocking sometimes doesn't activate properly, 6-8 nekkers rushing at me ain't fun at all.

Yup, you're suppose to be doing this. Again, you're just one person. If you want to be killing enemies w/out a challenge. I suggest you play the game in easy mode. Normal and Hard difficulty requires you to use alchemy in battles.

problem is, easy and normal are worlds apart according to other forums i've read, much better if there are party members, soloing in chapter 1 isn't fun at all while getting rushed by hoards of nekkers.

remember that blocking uses vigor points, so you can't spam that as well (kaya hindi gumagana lagi), hindi niya pino promote spamming, hindi ka na makakapag potion during combat and you cant even save the game during combat. As you progress, normal can be a bit easier when you reached higher levels with upgraded techniques, but you can try easy for now.

yeah i'll try finishing chapter 1 on normal and see if it gets better after that, for now i'm bringing lotsa bombs and potion before out questing just to have a fighting chance against hoards of monsters, 1-3 ok pa, but not more than 6 nekker warriors lol

tried tanking it out with quen spell, pretty effective, killed the endrega queens using it to protect myself

after getting the kayran armor and acquiring whirlwind swordmanship skill, even groups of enemies are easy to fight now, glad i sticked with normal difficulty

wow the story has really picked up in chapter 2, i take back what i said about combat earlier, as you start getting swordsmanship skills, it's perfect!

I really suggest that you get this game on the PC. My experience is that games similar to this game are meant to be played in PC. There's a huge difference in quality, Elder Scroll 4 & Dragon Age Origins are some examples. We still even know if the console version will push through.

Lol! You would rather play a game on a console because of trophies. Than playing on a PC, giving you the best experience possible? It's like you prefer watching Avatar on a regular cinema or even at home than watching it in 3D.

I learn this lesson the hard way. Saying that I wouldn't be playing Elder Scroll IV on the PC because I already owned the PS3 version. Man I was blown away with the amount of things you can do the PC version. I learned my lesson, if there is a PC version. Go get it on the PC version.

yep, any game with a pc version is almost always superior, i played fallout 3, new vegas, oblivion, bulletstorm, mass effect 1 & 2, black ops etc. all on the pc, graphics pa lang walang sinabi ps3 mukhang last gen. but mostly it's the kb + mouse for me, it's just the superior control scheme. of course consoles have their own specialties that PCs can't touch.

Yes, steam is digital download. But you can do backups on the game if you decide to uninstall the game. Mag paypal ka kung ayaw mo ng credit card. Alam ko some banks lets you deposit some money on paypal accounts. I don't which banks have those services.
