Will it be alright with you if we do neoGAF style? http://www.neogaf.com/forum/

1 category for everything gaming, 1 category for anything else.

Di naman parang GAF. I suggest getting rid of the platforms for games, the hardware, and network. Put network and hardware in the same category and get rid of the stickies. I suggest to minimize the global announcement as well and in case we need to put something there, it must be removed after two weeks or after an event is finished. People don't need hand holding especially in a forum.

I meant to say the news and gaming.

And let me quote what I said in the previous page...
jsnepo wrote:I have a suggestion. I've been trying to get back to this forum for a while now but it's really hard. Looking for a topic you want to post in especially those that got re-released, remastered, cross-platform, etc. and even those games have sub-categories in them can literally makes you lost.

All I'm trying to say is can we get rid of the unnecessary categories by platform, hardware, etc? Instead of being able to build a community wherein people discuss their gaming passion with others, posters are segmented. I know we are all about being organized, etc... but if it negatively impacts the purpose of having a forum... you know to be able to discuss with others then what is the point?
I'm only suggesting by the way.

ok, I'll discuss these with the other mods, and you suggest to combine the PS4/PS3 area also?

Not just those two but all platforms.

One strictly for games (and DLCs) of all the platforms (PS4, PS3, PS2, PSX, PSP, PS Vita, Pocketstation, PS Mobile, etc.)
Another for everything else (hardware, network, aesthetics, news, troubleshooting, trophies, nudes, etc.)

I suggest getting rid of the other platforms section altogether. But if we wish to keep other platforms, then put them in just one section and make it strictly for exclusive games or DLCs, etc.

Off-topic to have one section as well since I find some threads redundant. The buy and sell section however, I don't know. Seriously, I'm not even sure why there's plenty of sections in it.

The aim of my suggestion is to prevent segmenting the members. Make them see each other and discuss their passion.

Would it be possible to have

- view unanswered posts,
- view active topics,
- view unread posts,
- view new posts and
- view your posts

always there without having to go back to the board index? :)

Yes. Just need to update the site's template.

Yeah, I hear you. 1 section for all gaming is fine. I like that.

For other platforms, 1 section for non-PlayStation sounds good as well.

For Buy & Sell section, the current set up is to accomodate the old and new format. Some prefer the old one, some prefer the new one. It's a double-edged sword.

For some of the requests, you can try our demo site: http://new.pinoyps.com/

The posts are current as of November 19. You can use your existing accounts.

Some improvements:
1. Mobile friendly, responsive. Try it on your mobile. We can still have the Tapatalk function later.

2. These links can be found in any page
- view unanswered posts,
- view active topics,
- view unread posts,
- view new posts and
- view your posts

3. Images, no matter how big, can now be viewed in full.
Compare these 2 threads

This is a work in progress though.

This is too much merging. Unrelated ps4/ps3/vita concerns in 1 thread. Honestly too much reduction. Its not that easy to navigate, every topic is too broad. Well just my 2 cents.

Hi coolgrease. The nature of the SOS threads is the users ask a quick question, get quick answers, then another set of users ask them same question. We could have made a FAQ but nobody's done it yet.

Thanks for feedback. :)

I get what you mean, its just that when people try to search for an answer to a question that may have already been answered and they see that jumble.

Racing
Fighting
Role-Playing
Shooting (First-Person mainly)
Sports

Yung Action/Adventure sana kaso masyadong broad ito. Papasok dito yung MGSV, yung mga Warriors games, Ratchet, God of War, atbp. So sa Gaming Discussions muna ito.

:2thumbs: This

Just my two cents, sometimes too much categorizing and classifying ends up cluttering the forum. Lets keep it simple  .

Okidoki! Will keep it as it is.

The thought just came to mind a few days ago. To make things a bit easier to find, at least, like for Call of Duty and NBA.
