May nagbabasa ng A Song of Ice and Fire series dito? Kabibili ko lang ng mga ito dahil sa Game of Thrones. Ngayon na lang ulit nagbabasa-basa.

ako, nabasa ko na yungA Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings,A Storm of Swords. meron na ako copy nang A Feast for Crows pero tinatamad pa ako basahin yung A Dance with Dragons naman hinintay ko pa yung paperback masyadong bulky para sa kin yung hardcover eh

Anyway if firstime mo magbabasa nang series na ito, wag ka lang masiyado ma o-overwhelm sa dami nang characters, eventually mag fofocus rin ang istorya niyan sa illang chracters. Saka wag mo muna papanoorin yung HBO tv series nito, IMHO 10x na mas maganda tong novel kesa sa tv series hehehe.
anyway tiyagain mo lang basahin, pag nakarating ka na sa A Storm of Swords dun ka na sobrang mag eenjoy. sarap sana mag kwento kung ano mangyayari pero spoilers eh. basta astig ton series na to.

Idol ko dito si Tyrion Lannister, saka si Daenerys Targaryen at si Jon snow na rin.si Ned Stark sana kaso... heheh spoiler na.

Actually naubus ko na mapanood yung sa hbo series. Nainip ako maghintay ng season 2 kaya naisipan kong bilhin yung boxed set ng mga unang books.
Ang daming kulang at mas ok talaga basahin siya. Nasa Book 1 pa lang ako, mga chapter 45 yata. Astig talaga ang story at pagkasulat.

ahh napanood mo pala yung series
astig naman yung series eh kaso tama ka maraming kulang sa series. sa libro kasi mas detalyado. sa series parang ang bilis nang pangyayari.
dapat proceed ka na sa second book or tapusin mo na dapat yung book 1 at book 2 bago lumabas yung season 2 sa series. mas maganda pag nabasa mo na tapos saka mo papanoorin.

Marami rin akong backlog sa books, 300+ pa ata. ngayon na lang ako naghinay-hinay sa pagbili, tipid mode~
bawal pa galawin yung bookshelves ko, may sarili akong ayos na magulo pa rin daw sabi ni nanay, haha!

Ah. Mukhang maganda yung mister b. goode, hanap ako ng copy nyan hm. i guess abang-mode na lang ako sa nbs or fullubooked for abarat 3, nag-order na kasi ako ng book from amazon last week e (nerd do well by simon pegg )

Nauupo talaga ako sa floor ng booksale, I don't care if I get stepped on basta i get to rummage through the book piles Dati ayaw kong pumunta sa mga second-hand bookstores pero ok rin pala, maraming great buys. meron rin 15-20 pesos for a book, pag-uwi ko 2 plastic bags yung book-haul ko! minan kulang pa ang 1 day sa loob ng booksale e,haha! masaya maghanap ng hardcover books diba? super tipid, unlike pag brand new na almost a thousand!

Malamang nga nag abot na siguro tayo sa booksale,hindi lang natin alam...

Kaka reminisce tuloy naalala ko hindi pa ko complete dun sa Septimus Heap series! Maganda din yun kasi may pagka Harry Potter ang dating pero its perfect for light reading!

Yung booksale naman,basta makakita ako sa loob ng mall, minimum ko na yung 45 mins sa loob kakahanap ng mga natatagong unappreciated books! Usually pag swerte pa, hard cover books pa talaga yung makukuha mo for a really really cheap price tapos halos brand new pa!

BTW, baka magustuhan niyo din...I found this series to be really really well written, and the story to be really good! Plus factor pa na its about the meiji era of Japan if memory serves me / im not mistaken..

Oo, ok na ok yung hbo series, lalo na yung casting ok din (maliban siguro kay rickon at payne). Matatapos ko naman siguro yung book 2 bago lumabas yung 2nd season, wag lang masobrahan sa paggagames.

as of now yan ang binabasa ko. nasa book 2 na ako (deadhouse gates). it's a fantasy novel minus Tolkien's Middle Earth.
Hinde siya very similar sa aSoIaF, pero its the closest that I can think of. medyo ang focus lang nang MBotF ay sa magics, lores at warfare while ang aSoIaF eh more on Power Struggles and/or politics

Naswertehan ko nga lang yung books niya sa A Different Bookstore sa Greenhills noon nung bukas pa, kumpleto sila at that time pero I didn't know anything about her books din. Pero nung binasa ko yung nasa cover, it got me interested kaya I risked buying all the books in the series in 1 go...buti na lang din kasi maganda pala and medyo mahirap hanapin yung books kasi hindi siya ganun ka popular na author satin.

Maganda yung Camp Half-Blood. Although spin-off sya, more on sequel ang kinalabasan nya, story-wise. Kasi it continues to dun sa "The Last Olympian". And sa second Camp Half-blood series na "Son of Neptune", kasama na ulit si Percy sa bida. Well worth the read.

Maganda to kung curious kayo sa Egyptian mythology kasi before I read this, the ones I know of eh sila Ra from Yugioh and Isis, Osiris, Anubis from Ragnarok Online lol. Pero after, marami na ko kilala. Like Nepthys, Khnum, Ptah, Apophis and si Horus.

Oh. Maganda yung original series. Yung storytelling kasi ni Riordan, masyadong light-hearted and very simple. Sure na yung mga jargons in relation to Greek mythology will be properly explained in great clarity. Zero-based sya. And hindi boring kasi andaming comic relief involved.
