May mga interested akong items na gusto sanang bilhin sa Amazon US but since first time attempt ko to buy from them, baka may mga experienced dito na naka order na sa Amazon US.

It's more about shipping, and custom tax...

1. Realible ba ang Amazon pagdating sa packaging? What if used item, talaga bang delayed and arrival ng package tulad ng heresays na nababasa ko sa ibang websites?

I've experienced getting an item from HK two years ago...

1.) Yes ok naman ang packaging nila. Yung delays depende sa supply at sa seller nung item. Pagdasal mo lang wag ibalibag yung item during transit.

2.) Malamang may tax yan, makikita naman together with the price ng item pag checkout. Naexperience ko umorder from amazon US at playasia going to SG and walang siningil sa kin upon delivery, pirma lang.

btw, not all items from amazon US can be shipped to philippines. Kung meron kang gusto bilhin dun na hindi pwede mai-ship dito sa tin, pwede ka magtanong dun sa bazaar thread kay j&j to help you get it shipped here, just send them a link of what you want and kayo na bahala mag usap.

Pag 10K and below ang value ng item, no customs fee.

Don't use Fedex use DHL instead.

Pag orders from Amazon, usually may Global shipping sila, pero sinasama na ang customs and handling fee kahit 10K below ang price.

Kung oorder ka sa Amazon, better to use Forwarding services like Johnny Air, My Shopping Box, LBC's Shipping Cart, or similar services.

Since nasa work ako nun and it's December... napaisip na alng ako na naghihigpit ang customs natin. Then less 5k lang ang purchase ko nun which is 2 games...

Much more by luck or chance?

That was two separate occassions at fedex express din tapos each time wala pang 2k ang value ng mga item na binili ko - i was charged 500 lang ng fedex on both times upon arrival. Considering the condition of the item and fast delivery (1 day) i just paid up. I think its more of requirement sa pagsisingil ng extra ng courier lalo pa't express sya.

Btw, manila lang ako if that matters.

Customs has always been charging for tax. But since October last year, the de minimis value was raised to 10,000 (from previous 10), thus you only get taxed when item value is above 10K.

You can read the more about it here: http://www.rappler.com/business/governa ... -shipments
http://www.gov.ph/downloads/2016/10oct/ ... ao-rrd.pdf

Hope that helps.

sa pagkakaalala ko, I think the charge is for the couriers themselves and not necessarily for the customs. I remembered on one of the receipts i received from the items i ordered from playasia is that merong naka indicate dun na parang processing fee for the papers and inspection necessary to get your item through customs. Not really surprising since mahilig ang govt natin na maningil ng kung ano-ano. Isa pa, the amount i paid was about 560 each time fedex delivered my items.

From personal experience, I buy a lot of stuff from U.S. and Japan, and have used different shipping methods such as EMS, Sal, and Standard Shipping, and I always got hit by customs tax, since you had to pick it up from the post office. But since October last year, no more tax pag below 10K yung item ko. Couriers should facilitate that for you. I haven't tried Fedex in along time, since I got hit with storage fees and whatnots a few years ago, but DHL has been excellent, delivered with no extra fees at all. So I use them more often when it's available.

Fedex lang kasi ang options for express shipping dun sa mga binilhan ko online nung andito na ko sa pinas - one was last december last year and march this year. I never tried other shipping couriers nung andito na ko sa pinas pero dati sa SG bukod sa fedex nasubukan ko na rin ang DHL and UPS at never ako nasingil during delivery ng mga yun.

Personally, I dont mind paying extra for whatever fees that needs to be paid. As long as my item came in one piece and within the promised delivery time then its fine.

So if you're someone who's wanting to buy overseas, be prepared to pay for more than what you have bought. Wala eh, ganito na talaga lakaran dito so expect mo nang mapapamahal ang gastos mo - either you pay up or dont even bother na lang in the first place. In fairness naman sa fedex tatawagan ka naman nila on the day of delivery to inform you of the charges ahead of time so makakapag ready ka pa ng pera.
