Ang kuripot halos ayaw talaga gumastos, kahit kailangan. Pati sarili at pamilya tinitipid.

No offense sa mga may anak, pero hindi ako agree sa mga comments nitong post na "amount of money spent is nothing compared to the joy and happiness a child can bring" tsaka "having a baby is a blessing"

kung susukatin mo sa pera ang blessings compared sa anak that would be like comparing apples and oranges.

in a more practical and mundane view yes! magastos magka-anak.
gustong ipasa yung pagpapalaki ng anak kasi wala silang trabaho, and worst --- tamad.
ang problema sa ibang tao anak ng anak hindi iniisip yung time, money and skills para sa pagpapalaki ng anak.

may nabasa ako "those people who are not worthy to have children are more likely to have one".

Here are my answers on "Why most Filipinos don't get rich?"...
1. Too much care for family. The mindset of "hindi bali nang naghihirap ako, huwag lang family ko".
2. Too much belief that money is not important. The mindset of "hindi bali nang naghihirap sa pera, basta buo at nagmamahalan ang pamilya."
3. Too much living for others. The mindset of "sila muna bago ako".

Notice that the first 2 words are always "too much".

Nothing is wrong with what I listed as long as it is not too much. I believe that too much of anything is bad. Balance giving/living for others and giving/living for yourself. In fact, you should help yourself first before helping others. About number 2, we should accept the fact money is important. It can't buy happiness but it is still important because there are some awesome life experiences that requires money.

applicable pa rin na too much of everything is bad.

may tinatawag na cycle of dependecy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_O%27Leary he is worth $400M

EDIT:

just found this

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/11/16/why-sha ... money.html

EDIT #2:

As per my Lola (who's already 80 plus old), ganito rin dati daw sa Pinas where when you reach 18, you have to learn to be independent & must leave home..Ewan bakit bigla nabago...
