Justifiable din naman yung "wants <-> needs" dilemma if the item is within your immediate need pero kung sa tingin mo hindi mo pa kakailanganin then look the other way muna. There will always be a next time pa naman to buy it.
Agree ako dito...

Ako ha, a toy collector...Eto lang siste ko when buying a new toy...

1. I always check reviews of the toy sa Youtube....Gusto ko malaman paano ba quality ng toy, kung madali pa ipose or itransform, etc etc etc...

2. I do extra research from fellow toy collectors & always find a seller who's selling the item at a much cheaper price without any catches.

3. I always ask "meron bang KO (knock off) neto"?....I thank God for companies like Wei Jiang, Kubianbao, and those KO companies Takasa Tomy, Tanaka Tosy, etc etc...Why? Because minsan mas ok pa quality ng KO toys compared sa original...

4. I weigh my options kung bibilhin ko na ba ito or hindi pa...Kasi baka mas bumaba pa price after a few months eh...Saka syempre meron din ako mga bagay na kailangan iprioritize muna aside from toys...

In a nutshell, i work hard, i collect responsibly, i don't deprive myself of my fave vice (toys and books) pero i see to it meron ako naitatabi for myself each month, as well as for my boys & i am able to pay my bills on time...

And puro knock off toys na lang nowadays ang pinupuntirya ko...Thank God for China & their copy is right people!

To the point of breaking the bank at tatapyasan ang naitabing ipon basta mabili yung gusto. It helps to have more than 1 bank for savings para mapaglagyan ng majority ng ipon while yung isa pwedeng dala kahit araw-araw.

Sino dito mahilig mag travel? Ano tipid tips niyo while traveling abroad?

General tips:
1. Abang ng flight sale.
2. Stay in a hostel, or couchsurfing if you are courageous enough. Hotels are last resort.
3. If may kakilala or relative sa county na pupuntahan, ask if pwede ka makitira.
4. Wag lagi sa magagandang restaurants kumain. Kadalasan mas masarap pa street foods and hole-in-a-wall restos.
5. Taxis are last resort. Lakad lang if exploring the city. Bus pag magco-commute.
7. Avoid peak season.
8. Travel slow.
9. Wag sa tourist area kumain at mag shopping.
11. Arrive in the morning para first day palang marami nang magawa.
12. Tuesday is the cheapest for plane fares.

Pwede rin one-sided basta marunong mag tabi/mag ipon parehas. Hindi yung umaastang mayaman.

I don't like Peso Sense. Mashadong "piggy bank mindset" at kulang nalang sabihin nila ay only spend money on what you need and never on what you want.

Or better yet, you wont need simple financial advices tulad ng mga ganyan kasi in the first place saving money is considered to be a life skill na.

It all comes down to common sense eh.

parang ganito lang yan. mas focus lang nila ang savings rather than spending. kasi pag sinabi nila na pwede mag spend sa "luho" the tendency is to spend with that "luho"

Yup brother.

Pero i'm not the type of guy na nagsu-surrender ng ATM sa misis..No friggin way...

Isa pang ayaw ko sa PS ay yung over use of the term "kuripot". Mas ok kung "matipid".

Kuripot (miser in English) - is a person who is reluctant to spend, sometimes to the point of forgoing even basic comforts and some necessities, in order to hoard money or other possessions.

Matipid (frugal in English) - is the quality of being economical in the consumption of consumable resources such as food, time or money, and avoiding waste, lavishness or extravagance.

Ewan ko kung may kinalaman sa pagka ilocano ko or what pero I have always associated myself with a frugal lifestyle kahit pa noon.
