Usapang Pera

Talk about things other than video games. What are your other hobbies? What's your favorite TV show? Are you into sports. Any recommended restaurants? Do you travel?

I found myself happier when I started buying/paying for what I want, but on a budget. Pero naisip ko...life is short and anytime pwede may mangyari sa akin. You don't know what can happen to you tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, years from now.

One thing I recommend na wag kuripotin is travel. Maraming ng paraan ngayon to travel on a budget. If you are into traveling, don't put it off in the future kasi maraming pwedeng mangyari that can make traveling harder or not possible anymore. Read travel blogs. Maraming tips on how to save before and while traveling. Travel while young and able. Travel like a backpacker, not like a typical tourist. Hehe.

The only Peso Sense post that I agree :)

Travelling is really not my thing . I honestly find enjoyment once i have finished the things I needed to do. Personal preference ko lang talaga to mula't sapul pa. So that's like borderline kuripot <-> frugal in some sense.

Agree about travel. Mas madali nga ngayon dahil maraming budget airlines.

Isn't that what we're doing already? You technically do "fetch" quests in real life in order to gain money and experience di ba?

anyway....

Ako din rin naman mahilig sa travel. Unang una wala naman ako sariling wheels, di bale sana kung meron..2nd, baka matambakan ako ng work pagbalik ko...3rd, maghahanap ako ng cheapest options, si Kumander naman magpipilit ng mahal na options...He he he...

I think the only time or travel i ever made away from work is when i went to Thailand last Nov 2015....

For me medyo malungkot pakinggan yung "I will save you tomorrow" in a sense na parang sa medical/health bills mapupunta ang naipon.

If you have more than enough money to spend for your life goals (travel, car, house, business, etc), go for it asap.

I travel to learn and know more about the place, its culture, its people and their lifestyle, and to meet other travelers. Syempre kasama narin doon ang sightseeing and eating local foods. Pag nagta-travel ako medyo parang backpacker.

For some people naman...travel = vacation. Sightseeing tsaka kain lang itinerary nila.

Back to usapang pera, I think I don't want to have kids. Marami kasi akong travel goals. Parangap ko kasi maging full-time travel writer/blogger at medyo travel photographer narin.

1. may experience ka na ba na kailagan mo ng pera dahil sa unforeseen events like accidents or sickness? if so, ano ginawa mo?
2. nagkulang ka ba sa ng funds? if so anong gingawa para may preparation ka sa susunod na pangyayari?
3. naranasan mo ba na ilang buwan kang walang income? again, anong ginawa mo?

if you find the phrase "I will save you tomorrow" in a negative way you can change your term of that fund in positive terms like buffer, extra, relaxation, etc.

I prefer to use "buffer fund" :)

if you think about it, yung #1 can be covered by insurance.

Ang umasa sa mga anak balang araw ang ayoko mangyari sa lahat...I want my 2 boys to live lives of their own...Ayokong dadating yung panahon na meron na silang mga pamilya e naka asa kami sa mga bigay nila...Sinabi ko ke Kumander kung kinakailangan namin mag sari-sari store pagtanda namin, then so be it...Ayoko yung point na oobligahin ang mga anak na magbigay....Kaya etong iniipon ko sa aking mahiwagang alkansya na me sticker ni Gwen Garci, this is for the days ahead kapag its time for me to retire from working...

And 1 final thought for the day, financially

Agree ako sa dedication at discipline....Meron akong sinubukan iinfluence using Peso Sense Ipon Challenge for 2016, after a few months nag give up, hindi raw kaya, kahit 20.00 or 50.00 a week lang...

It is all about balance. Save for the future but spend also for the present. Wag puro save save save for the future kasi baka hindi ka naman umabot sa future, wag rin spend spend spend now kasi yari ka sa future kung umabot ka. Hehe.

In the end, we save to spend.

sabi nga nung officemate ko "personal finance is now a required life skill". di daw tulad noon na kapag nagkatrabaho ka sapat na yun para ka mabuhay.

Everytime na sinasabi ng mga tao sa paligid ko na "hindi mo madadala sa hukay ang pera mo!" parang ang dating sa kin is either insecure sila na may ipon ako that I can use freely or naiinis lang sila kasi hindi maka kubra sa kin...
