Witnesses name Manila policeman behind drug-related summary killings
http://www.rappler.com/newsbreak/invest ... m=referralWitnesses interviewed during the 3-month investigation led by Patricia Evangelista name Police Officer 3 Ronald Alvarez of the Delpan Community Precinct as the alleged killer behind at least 4 drug-related deaths
MANILA, Philippines – Witnesses accused a policeman of being behind at least 4 drug-related deaths within the jurisdiction of Police Station 2-Moriones in Tondo, Manila, a Rappler investigative story found.
At least 7 people who put their names on the record identified Police Officer 3 Ronald Alvarez, beat patrolman of Delpan Police Community Precinct (PCP) with badge number 125658, as the one who killed Joshua Cumilang, Rex Aparri, Mario Rupillo, and Danilo Dacillo.
Their testimonies were corroborated by more than 40 interviews in the course of a 3-month investigation by Rappler’s Patricia Evangelista and Magnum Foundation photographer Carlo Gabuco. The residents claimed that the alleged encounters were actually summary executions, and accused the police of torture and harassment.

Drug suspects found in secret police cell
http://m.inquirer.net/newsinfo/892537Lawyers from the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), following a tip about drug suspects being held for extortion, were surprised and shocked when they found a dozen men and women detained in a secret cell behind a shelf in a Manila police station on Thursday.
Gilbert Boisner, regional director of the CHR for Metro Manila, said at least four of the 12 claimed that they were locked in the cell at Raxabago station’s drug enforcement unit (DEU) in Tondo.

The treatment that the prisoners got (regardless of whether the claims of torture or extortion were true or not) were inhumane and are against the constitution.parokyano wrote: ↑Sat Apr 29, 2017 8:42 pm

So it's clearly illegal and another sign that the police of the Philippines cannot be trusted with the power that they're being given right now. How can this dumbass say that he's okay with something that is illegal? What the hell kind of a police force is he running, if he's okay with sh*t like this being done?
