I didn't read the book.nag-enjoy naman ako sa movie.
pero eto na lang advice ko sa iyo , lower your expectations kapag book movie.

I enjoyed both the book and the movie. The book had a lot of 80's jargon that I wasn't familiar with. But if you look past that, it's quite enjoyable. The movie didn't dwell much on that. I guess there's the advantage of being a visual medium.

The shape of water: Okay, I guess. The ending was..off, like it didn't really fit in with the story.
The commuter: It feels like another Liam Neeson Taken type movie. Neeson should consider a non family driven plot.
The Foreigner: For a Jackie Chan movie, it's depressing.

Winchester....not as scary as I had hoped but it kept me interested. Probably helped that I was listening to a podcast about it beforehand.
