The last time I was immerse sa culture e sa In n Out burger. Isang three by three with grilled cheese and onions at mustard. 'Murica!

On a serious note, try learning the language pag foreign. That is one way to know the country's culture. And of course, convenience. Masmadali ka lumapit at mas magiging comfortable yung locals sayo kung marunong ka ng language nila.

Yan rin sinasabi ng karamihan ng travel bloggers. Learn the language of the country you are in kahit yung mga hi, thank you, welcome, excuse me, good morning/afternoon/evening, etc...

Hanga ako sa mga real travelers na nagka-couchsurf, house-sit, staying and spending time with locals. :2thumbs: :agree:

Just got back from L.A. trip yesterday.

Me and my brother did some research and planning on how to maximize our Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood theme park trip.

1. Be there early, preferredly before the theme park open (8:00AM)
2. Don't go on theme parks that has a scheduled extra magic hours. Guest who stayed at Disney Hotel has a 1 hour early admission than you. FastPass runs out quickly and the theme park will be more crowded.
3. Go to these theme parks on weekdays if you can.
4. Once you enter the theme park, go to the popular rides immediately like radiator spring racers, indiana jones adventure, finding nemo submarine voyage to beat the long lines later (waiting times sometimes take 1 to 1.5 hrs)
5. Get FastPass Ticket to save your place in line for some of your favorite attractions while you enjoy the rest of the park. Get a Fantasmic & World of Colors shows fastpass once you enter the themepark. Those tickets runs out quickly.
6. Download Disney App or 3rd party app to see the waiting time for each rides. In that way you can go to the rides with lesser crowd.
7. Bring water. A lot of bottled water. Our group brought in 12 bottled waters. The food and beverage is expensive inside.
8. Split in to two groups. You get a FastPass tickets for your group while the other group fall in line to other rides to save you a spot.
9. Now, the most important tip. At Fantasmic & World of Colors shows be there 1 hour early before the show starts. So if the shows start at 9:00PM, fall in line around 8:00PM or 7:45PM because the attendant will let the people in. Even if you have a ticket for the show, it is not guaranteed that you will get a nice spot to see the show. If you want to be in a front row seat just like us in Fantasmic, be there early and bring some food and water. Be prepared to seat in the floor. Same thing in the disney street parade be there 1 to 1.5 hrs early to get your spot.

Now regarding the Universal Studios Hollywood. Same plan but a little different startegy naman dito.

1. They don't offer FastPass. So be ready to fall in line atleast 30 mins to 2 hours.
2. Skip the rides and watch the shows first. Hard lesson for us. We missed one show because we run out of time. Most of their shows are only until 5:00PM or until 6:00PM which is sucks. Better watch those shows because later in the evening the lines for the rides will be shorter or no wait at all because most people go home around 7:00PM especially those tour bus.
3. FYI, You can finish riding the rides and watching the shows at Universal Studios in 7 hours, but it depends. For a larger group especially with kids it is a little harder because we have to wait for my brother and his family to finish the ride and do a switch to take care of the kids. Universal give you a switch pass for the second group, so you save a little time falling in line by going to their express lane. Make sure the first group asked the attendant or ride operator for a switch pass after the ride. Switch pass onlg allows two riders. Compared to disney fasspass it allows three riders.
4. Check Universal Studious theme park hours before you purchase your ticket. Check their schedule and pick weekdays and make sure they are open until 10:00PM.
5. The new Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and Fast & Furious – Supercharged rides are awesome!
6. Important tip. We encounter this guy at the right side of the entrance. There is a kios setup for survey. Take the survey and get a one time pass ticket from him. This special one time pass ticket allow you to take any rides of your choice First In Line. What i did is we used it for the back lot tour - Nighttime Studio Tour. We were able to ride at the first tram. If you don't have these special one time pass ticket, automatically they will put you on the 2nd tram thru the 5th tram. If you want to see Fast & Furious best spot, take the 1st tram. Always sit the very first seat of either left or right side of the tram. You can see all the action if you seat in the edge rather than in the middle.

The best tip: Before you enter that ride or roller coaster, you can asked the attendant if they can put you in the first row seat. Yes, they allow you to get the first row seat as long as you asked. Maybe you have to wait for the next ride, still it is worth waiting rather watching it in the middle or at the back. Lahat ng attraction rides nasa unahan kami. Puwera lang iyong shows kasi paunahan iyon. Especially iyong ride na Soarin in California ... take the middle row in group two.
