Again, agencies can increase your odds of landing an interview but getting a work permit granted is out of their hands na. Merong mga ibang agencies naman na nahanapan ka nga ng work tapos within 1 week kinailangan mo mag resign you can still approach them to ask for assistance again to help you find an employer. Not all agencies do this and most agencies knows lucrative ang mga foreigner na dumadating to find a job so nananamantala din sila na maningil. Swertihan lang din. Walang masama mag agency pero make it your very last resort.PitchBlack wrote: @grayfox17
As far as being galante ng mga singaporeans, yes, I can personally attest kung gaano kagalante ang mga yan. I used to join a charity donation drive wherein nakatayo kayo sa isang area holding a tin can kung san maghuhulog ng donasyon ang mga dumadaan (whatever amount of coins or bills), similar to those red cross guys you see at mrt counters here sa pinas and pagdating ng bilangan I was suprised to find a crisp 1000 SGD bill as donasyon in one of the cans - so somebody with a good heart just dropped 30K pesos worth of bill out on the street as a donation ng ganun lang.
I cannot really outright confirm if tips are better for the F&B (food& beverage) industry but I have heard rumors about it. So kung dito linya mo tapos nag agency ka then may pag asa ka makakuha ng work agad kasi laging may demand for F&B staffing. Problem is, F&B in SG got longer hours compared here sa pinas and its an industry that got one of the most disposable type of employees, any local can do this job and madami ka pa kaagaw na foreigner din, masama pa dun, yung iba contractual lang.
