The Avengers Defeats Dark Knight, Harry Potter
Marvel epic now No. 3 on both all time domestic & worldwide grosses.

Marvel's The Avengers has passed The Dark Knight at the third highest-grossing domestic release of all time.

The Marvel epic has so far earned $538.1 million domestically to the second Christopher Nolan Batman film's final tally of $533.3 million.

Two James Cameron blockbusters -- Avatar and Titanic -- are No. 1 and No. 2 with $760.5 million and $658.6 million, respectively.

On the all time worldwide grosses front, The Avengers is also No. 3 behind, yes, Avatar and Titanic. With a global current total of $1,331.3 billion, The Avengers has surpassed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2's cume of $1,328.1 billion.

Prometheus na bukas..

Di ko alam kung papanoorin ko prometheus, it should be good since ridley scott film siya. Pero I think masyado naman overly hyped that it has "Alien" connotations to it dahil dun sa "space jockey" (the one that sent the signal to ripley's ship" and the weylan yutani corporation. I think most people are being led to believe na prequel to to alien. Its not, I'm sure its a great movie pero di siya prequel kasi baka may mga magexpect ng "xenomorph" appearance or something. My friend misled me into thinking that it was a prequel but when I read the preview it wasn't.

Prometheus is different film and yes there mentions of the the weylan-yutani corp pero we have yet to see kung may tie-up ba ito sa "alien" talaga or not. I hope this is a good film to say the least

Gangster Squad screenwriter tapped to pen DC team-up film.


With Marvel's The Avengers now the third highest-grossing domestic release of all time (bumping DC's The Dark Knight from that spot), Warner Bros. is reportedly breathing new life into their long-dormant Justice League of America movie.

Variety reports Castle vet Will Beall is penning the new JLA script for the studio, who has previously hired him for Gangster Squad, the Logan's Run remake and the Lethal Weapon reboot. Beall, a former LAPD officer, hasn't turned in his JLA script yet.

The trade claims, though, that JLA isn't in reaction to Avengers as the studio had begun reinvigorating the project in anticipation of the Marvel epic's release.


You will recall that Justice League almost went before cameras a few years ago with George Miller directing and then-unknown Armie Hammer as Batman, Common as Green Lantern, D.J. Cotrona as Superman and Adam Brody as Flash.

actually yung kay mandarin, may lumabas na news even before the avengers are shown na si ben kingsley nga ang gaganap. I simply dismissed that rumor simply because Mandarin = Chinese. but then the approach that mandarin is not chinese could be good, I mean, Mandarin by reputation would give a false sense of identity to the villain. also remember part 1? the terrorists group is named "Ten Rings" and they all look arabic-indians. another possibility is that maybe they just want to avoid any form of racism. or maybe , just maybe they just want a good actor to play the villain.
