The not so good things in the Philippines

I won't say where i get my facts from BIR but i know that these gaint oil firms don't pay taxes that's why i'm really mad at high oil prices here. They pay off a lot of government officials for this. I know this for a fact. They just forward their accounts to excise tax division then that's it. They treat a whole department to outings, give them freebies, gifts, etc. Nobody talks of course.

Natatawa ako kapag may mga issues na itatanong sa kanya, when it's about energy and stuff, sasabihin nya bahala na ang DoE dyan, sa education, bahala DEPED dyan, sa funds, bahala na COA dyan, justice system, bahala na DOJ, etc. It seems wala siyang interest sa mga issues at hand at bahala na mga inupo nya, tipong sige trabaho nyo naman yan eh. Anong mangyayari talaga sa atin...

Hearing this things from our country men sucks living in the Philippines,I see corruption left and right and this doesn't make things easier for the next generation....This sucks

Right now, si PNOY for me. He doesn't do anything as head of state, he just passes on things to his subordinates, doesn't make decisions. Plus, according to him his presidency is only until 3pm everyday, after that it's his personal life already.... I thought being the president of the country was a full time job, 24/7.

He governs just like his mother, they aren't corrupt yes but they lack the leadership skills. That's why prices of commodities are soaring high, and people are seeing this and becoming restless. Embodied by the steady downfall of his popularity rating. I'd even go as far as saying that VP Binay has done more stuff than him.

Pilipinas when will you ever learn, popularity contest kasi ang politics. Binoto si pnoy, sa campaign pa lang ni wala siya concrete plans.

nice one man... i agree and sa mga further comments mo... ayaw ko na lang mag-mention dito lalo lang ako ma-de-depress... i'm in a government agency so i know, witness, hear, see wonderful things talaga (sarcastic of course)!

Parehas pala tayo, government employee din ako. Plus politicians pa family dito sa amin kaya i know how things work talaga. Hay, hirap magsalita.

ah baka isa yan sa mga matatagal na sa Petron. it was Gov't owned corporation before kaya may guarantee na 10% increase every year. so every 7 years effectively doubled ang sweldo nya. kung nag-start sya noon as 5k 21 years ago kaya 40k na sya ngayon.

^ oo nga, ako 5 years na sa government. yes, may staggared increase of 10% pero di naman yearly. Depende rin sa administration.

Accountant pala si daddy-yo, buti binibigay nila books nila to see openly their accounts. Usually big companies don't show some lalo na kung may malalaking discrepancies. Pero depende rin naman sa usapan yan.

Ang hirap ng baguhin ng sistema dito sa atin. May mga sadyang mandaraya at mayroon namang matitino na naiimpluwensiyahang mandaya. Kasi lumilitaw kung patas kang lumaban, ikaw ang kawawa.

cool... pareho pala tayo... family ko rin halos nasa gov't employee 2 na lang kame ng nanay ko ngayon... my late dad was a regional manager in gov't institution, my eldest sis used to work in the AFP (now teaching in a private school) and my mom, up to present, is a public teacher... soon i'll quit na walang kwenta na eh... when i got the promotion i was excited pa until masyadong nakilala ng mga big boss na-pirata ng ibang division at nagmukhang alila... nag-iipon na lang ako fafs pang-bail out ko sabay ka? hahaha just kiddin' really, if you really like a decent job better work for a private institution... sa gobyerno pwede kang maimpluwensyahan ng mga kurakot, pwede kang mapagaya sa mga tamad, pwede kang mabulag sa kinang ng pera (eventually, maging sakim), lahat pwedeng mangyari mapasama ka lang kaya kung wala kang paninidigan sa sarili mo at marunong tumanggi, government job is not good for you... hamunin ko kayo maglista kayo ng ahensya ng gobyero na wala, hmmm sige kahit minimal lang ang corruption sa office kapag mas marami yan kaysa sa ahensya na corrupt na alam ko may premyo kayo sa kin... bottom line, don pa lang, palpak na ang government... hindi nila maayos ang sistema na nasa loob ng sistema pano pa nila aayusin yung gulo/gusot ng nasa labas... yung iba sasabihin small time corruption lang ito pero pag-itotal mo lahat yon aba isang project cost na pala yon... so i think each cabinet members should clean their respective garbages before asking for the filipinos to join and unite in the movement for social reform...

shocking survey (forgot the source my cousin just told me), the worst drivers come from the private sector hehehe... in terms of casualties, traffic rule violations, surveys, etc.
