Two-weight world champ! Officially the GOAT! Nobody has done what he's done to Eddie and Aldo! This guy would have destroyed Dos Anjos, and after Khabib's performance last night, I don't doubt that Conor can knock Khabib out in the first.

Indeed, Conor. Indeed.

mahina talaga si Rousey sa boxing skills. tapos lakas pa nya manghamon kay Mayweather.

ronda is still one of the best female MMA fighters out there.. and kaya pa bumalik sa top ulit just focus sa strengths niya which is her ground game.. striking should only be "supplementary" and wag ng ipilit masterin pa.. and yep nothing changes.. floyd will beat ronda and even mcpussy in a boxing match.. but he'll get killed by them in a MMA match..

sana maging active si ronda this year and ma reclaim ang title by the end of the year..

Cody Garbrandt was super impressive against Cruz. That was a performance I would have never expected out of him and we saw dimensions to his game that we never saw before. I thought Cruz allowed himself to get drawn into Cody's counter punches too much and was willing to exchange more than he should have, but for sure he'll come back stronger. I think Cruz should take on the winner of Rivera and Caraway while TJ and Cody fight for the belt. That was a great fight, and I thought Cruz was done in the fourth for sure.

Also, nothing really shocking with Ronda's performance. I picked Amanda to win by TKO just because Edmund is a trash trainer (what he did to Travis Browne's movement and clearly Ronda's lack of evolution and improvement is proof of this). As soon as Ronda got hit with the first stiff jab and didn't move her head whatsoever, the outcome was decided. I noticed this in the second Tate fight, which I knew was going to be to her downfall, she will willingly eat strikes just so she can get a hold of you, and against great strikers and power punchers, it's not going to work. Meisha even rocked Ronda significantly in their second fight, before she foolishly attempted to clinch and wrestle with Ronda.

Anyway, I think she's done unless she switches camps. She needs to round out her striking game because the blueprint on how to beat here out there. Just maintain range, avoid grappling and clinch exchanges, and wait til she cracks. I think Ronda can still beat fighters like Juliana Pena, and Rocky Pennington, but would get eaten by fighters like Schevchenko, and maybe Zingano even in a rematch.

After that fight, for me Ronda is one of the most overrated athlete in history. Grabe ang pag hype sa kanya sa UFC kahit na 5 or 6 fights pa lang syang walang talo. Opinion ko lang.

Ronda went 12-0 before losing. She has limitaions on her skill set, but she wasnt overrated. She has beaten and destroyed legitimate competition: Zingano in 13 seconds (who beat the current champion down), tate twice (who beat holm), kaufman, mcmann, and davis are all legit and are some of the best in the division.

Her skillset got exposed and she just didnt evolve with the sport and has bad coaching. It happens. It doesnt diminish her accomplishments as an athlete.

She paved the way for three women's divisions in the UFC. Won a bronze medal in the olympics. And was successful as an athlete and draw in the biggest mixed martial arts promotion in the world. I dont know how someone who has done that can be called overrated. No one goes unscathed in MMA. Not Ronda. Not Anderson Silva. Not GSP. Not McGregor. Not Chuck. They all taste defeat.

She may have been overhyped, but she isnt overrated.

lahat ng laban niya sa UFC except kay davis while lumalapit sa kalaban sinasalo niya ng mukha niya yung mga suntok.. dapat yata tinuro ni edmond ay paano mag weave against strikers and wag yung makipag palitan while lumalapit.. worked for them several times but accident waiting to happen talaga yun.. and nawili siguro kila zingano and correa where naka quick kill.. nag improve yung punch ni ronda pero yung necessary skills to be an effective boxer/striker ay wala.. no head movement.. no footwork.. direcho lang sa kalaban whilw yung ulo naka gitna sa striking range..

dami nag ooffer kay ronda mag coach.. parang intetesting if magland siya sa TAM.. siguro ok ilaban sa kanya muna si Peña or Pennington.. build muna ulit siya ng confidence.. then siguro either zingano or holm ulit and if swertehin payback kay nunes.. tapos armbarin niya agad.. and si ronda naging kups kay meisha kasi may personal na pinag huhugutan.. pero itong si nunes talagang panay pa din ang pag throw ng shades kay ronda.. someday gusto ko makita nagkukumahog sa pagkawal sa armbar ni ronda yan then magngangawa sa pag tapout.. though malayo layo pa ang possibility.. pero sana.. if ever makabalik si ronda.. sana siya pa rin may hawak ng title..

yeah overhyped lang hindi naman overrated. i was too harsh :D i believe she can still make a great come back. still one of the today's best.

That beatdown of BJ Penn was tough to watch. I have no interest in watching BJ Penn fight ever again. He's a legend and everything, but he needs to step away for his own safety.

Yair Rodriguez is an animal though, his offensive arsenal is crazy. Will be fun to see Yair vs Cub Swanson next.

According to Dana White, it looks like the McGregor - Mayweather fight is likely to happen.

I didn't think it would, because I always thought the UFC would try to block that fight because it's potentially damaging to their number one money maker.

I personally think that McGregor gets embarassed. He's a very talented striker and mixed martial artist, but his only shot here really is a knockout, which is highly unlikely.

Anyway, this is bound to be a huge payday for Conor, and as a fan from the start, I'll be hoping he pulls this off.

I like what Nate Diaz said...it will be tough coz it's pure boxing, but there's that puncher's chance for Conor.
