I think this is the very first JRPG that I have ever played. I never played FFVII. Pinaka gusto kong part yung tumutugtog sa banda yung mga characters. Play the correct music instrument and makakabuo ng music na Eyes on Me.
Very memorable itong game na ito sa akin. However I don't think mae-enjoy ko pa laruin ito ngayon. Medyo dated na yung gameplay mechanics especially the random battles.

Finally! inaantay ko rin to. yung character models parang sa kingdom hearts. sana lang high resolution 2D background kasi titled as "Remastered" di gaya nung VII & IX.

May mga bago kaya besides the remastered graphics? Bago like new bosses, additional story, missions and side quests?

Hindi ko na matandaan kung natapos ko ito sa PSOne. Pero alam ko umabot na ko sa Disc 4. Pero memorable sa kin ito nung unang nalaro ko dahil sa ganda ng cutscenes at animation ng mga summons. Although yung first ever JRPG ko talaga is FFIV.
Sana nga merong additional dungeons/side-quests/bosses. Kaso tingin ko parang remastered FFIX lang din ito. Improved graphics lang talaga.
Misleading yung sinasabi ng SquareEnix na "Remake" ito. More like "Remaster" lang ito.

Same contents lang malamang. Unless may international version yung original FFVIII.

Originally, it looks like the team planned on simply porting Final Fantasy VIII to other consoles, similar to the version available on the PlayStation 3. However, as 2019 coincided with the 20th anniversary (and televisions have changed greatly since 1999), it was decided a little visual upgrade was needed.
Just as Final Fantasy VIII was getting ready to release, something happened. “So then we continued its development until just before it went gold, then out of nowhere, we decided to work on refining the characters,†Kitase noted. Since development was so far along already, “a major schedule change†was necessary.
While Kitase noted “troubles were there,†he believes this change “was the right call.†Looking at the character models of the original PS1 release (which aimed for a more realistic approach, compared to Final Fantasy VII), the effort can definitely be appreciated. While it doesn’t look like the backgrounds have been updated (a problem that also plagues the remasters of Final Fantasy VII and IX), at least the characters won’t look like pixelated messes.

Played through the SeeD exam acquiring Ifrit. Character models looks good. They could have also remastered the cutscenes. It looks rough today. But so far, I'm enjoying it.

ang hiling ko lang talaga dito, more FMV/CG cutscenes kila Quistis, Zell, Irvine, at Selphie. kaso remaster lang e.

Wala silang ginalaw sa mga cutscenes/FMV. Yung character models lang ang talagang binago nila. Yung backgrounds same lang din.

Ok lang yung same with blurry backgrounds and FMV. ang masaklap wala yung mga nasa original PS1 like 360 analog control, walang vibration, incorrect world texture maping at 16fps battle menu kaya ang hirap mag renzokuken. Sayang ang ganda pa naman ng 3d models.

nabasa ko sa review yung tungkol diyan sa motion na yan. minsan daw naii-stuck yung lakad, dahil nga siguro hindi 360 motion control.
