Great blog post on improvements on the defensive end for the CPU AI. http://www.operationsports.com/nba-2k18 ... gallagher/
This is all some good stuff, and much needed from a gameplay perspective.

In particular, look at how Gordon Hayward's body type improved!

NBA 2k18 impressions:
I spent the weekend playing the 2KU portion of the demo, and overall, I'm pretty happy with the changes to gameplay this year. On offense, movement feels great, with great action on plays, and freelance sets. I like the new additions to the controls like the walking sizeups, which are excellent in terms of breaking your defender down, and the jab step to fake combos/fake to jab step combos, which are great in keeping your defender guessing.
Shooting feels great, although it's really hard to evaluate that given that the difficulty of 2ku is probably set to pro. Defense, I can't evaluate yet for sure, but I have to say it's a lot easier getting beaten off of the dribble, which I think is just a function of getting used to the new systems in place on defense (ie eliminating the stonewalling present in previous games).
Some things that concern me though:
1. I think a lot of these set plays will be very powerful in terms of getting your guys open, regardless of whether you can sniff the play out before hand or not. There's just a lot of clunky bumping and your own teammates getting in your way that will prevent players from keeping track of their man off-ball. any plays which involve multiple pin downs, double screens, or a lot of floppy or flare action, will be go to money plays imo. Maybe I just need to get used to the help defense and make sure defensive settings are correct in the main game, but this is something I'll look out for.
2. Animations and motion play out really smooth this year, with a lot of great move combos playing out really well, but one thing I've seen is that some explosions off dribble moves are a bit too fast, and look like a move is actually being played in fast forward compared to other moves. This puts the defender in a great disadvantage, as lateral movement is nowhere as fast as the dribble explosions created by some animations. I've compensated by sagging off a bit on guys with great handles, but it's something I've seen play out in one on one situations.
Other than those two observations, I'm loving the gameplay of 2k18. I think they did succeed in a lot of their promises in the gameplay blogs, but you can see that the execution isn't all there yet. Overall, this is shaping up to be an excellent year from a gameplay perspective (which hopefully doesn't get patched to death then fucks the solid base up like in every other year).

15 for those that preorder - 19 pag hindi ka nag preorder. Pero sa experience ko, binebentahan pa din nila mga walk-ins na di nag preorder.
Highlights ko from just learning the sticks:
The fluidity and level of control this year is on another level.
