Hello, can anyone tell me anything about Ni no Kuni 1's story? Is the story average or will it wow me? I'm considering to buy it kasi but I have no time to play hours of basic feel happy RPG. The story has to stand out somehow.

Story wise is a bit above average for me. Pero the longer you play it, the more you develop an affinity to the characters and the story and the sidequests as well as that pokemon gotta catch em all feeling.

Thanks for the input. After 5 hours of self-deliberation, I finally went for it. I hope this gamble pays off. It's what you said about affinity to the characters and story that really made the difference for me. I can't have an incredibly awesome story every time, but there are games I love even more because of the characters in it.

Same here. Maganda daw yun game pero yun cartoonish (or anime-ish) theme nya kasi ang medyo nakakapag-hold sa akin na laruin yun part 1.abbadon wrote:I haven't even finished the first game.
There was a time na naghahanap na sana ako ng second hand ng part 1 pero nabaling yun attention ko sa ibang game.

Being a Studio Ghibli fan, it was the anime aesthetic that drew me in, but the gameplay was very good in its own right. I had to stop playing when our daughter was born. I'll get back to it somehow.Sn@kemaru wrote:Same here. The story and gameplay of the first one was really good. Spent lots of hours grinding and it never got boring.
Cant wait for this new game.
