"Way back in 2005, Koei showed off an action game for the PS3 called Ni-Oh. While specifics on the game were hazy at best, the game was about a group of monks assigned to protect Buddha. Ni-Oh is based off a script of a movie penned by the famous Japanese director Akira Kurosawa. The movie, which was set to be Kurosawa's sons directoral debut, was cancelled, and after no new info on the game for several years, many wrote the game off as well.

However, the latest Famitsu confirms that the project is still in development, exclusive for the PS3. Koei is devoted to making Ni-Oh a game that everyone can enjoy, but details outside of that are still slim."

Japanese version ni Ne-yo.

I almost forgot this game. But it looks like another hack and slash game.

The trailer shows off what players can come to expect while playing through the upcoming trailer, launching August 23 and ending September 6. This will be a new chance for players to gain familiarity with the combat as well as assist Koei Tecmo with working out bugs and fixes.

Additionally, this beta will offer new weapons including the long-range hand cannon rifle and a fresh selection of Katanas (including dual-wielded Katanas), Spears, Axes and Hammers.
