Walang anti-trust law sa Pilipinas. Ang may problema dito is yung publisher (is it Take Two or Blizzard?) kasi dinadaan nila sa exclusive distributor ang pagdistribute dito sa Pilipinas. Swerte lang ng X-Play kasi sila nakakuha ng exclusive distribution. Ang prices ng mga authorized distributors kontrolado ng licensor kaya for sure yang price ng X-Play pasok sa range na authorized, although mataas as compared sa prizes na kinasanayan natin.

FG, in the event na may nag organize ng group buy, iyung organizer ba, pwedeng maconsider as distributor?

Even though i didnt plan on immediately buying this game on release date, id gladly take part in a group buy just to show xplay that they arent getting my money.

Ako din, if we can arrange something for those of us who want to boycott xplay, I'd participate kahit mag hintay ako ng ilang araw.

estimate days/weeks dating dito pag group buy?...

Basta kung yung pricing is almost near sa price ng DB why not? I don't think X-Play will bother to apprehend group buyers, tigas lang ng mukha nila. Kung magtuloy-tuloy na successful ang group buy, Alam kong suntok sa buwan pero kaya ba ma-pwersa ang x-play na ibaba ang pricing ng games nila?

Heart of the Swarm, Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us were all priced more or less reasonably. They just got greedy since GTA5 has a lot of hype behind it.

weeks ago i bought a The Last of Us from gameonegadget, r1 copy (downpayment 500 preorder), xpwet ba connection or netopia branches lang?

I don't think so kasi sale ang covered ng distributorship eh. Yung group buy naman, yung organizer hindi naman seller. Sya lang nagcoconsolidate ng individual imports ng mga buyers.

wow i've been reading previous post, it really sucks that x-play got the rights to distribute GTA5 those #@#$^%& capitalist pigs!! mag digital copy na lang ako ng GTA5, never will I support x-play.

and someone mentioned anti-trust law, I remember pinagaralan namin yan nung college. Yes wala tayo nun thats why monopolized lahat ng businesses dito sa philippines SM,Meralco,Manila Water the list goes on.

I don't like X-Play (on what they did to Datablitz regarding NBA 2K13) but not to the extent that I will boycott them. The reason why I am considering joining the group buy is because of the P2595 R3 price of GTA5. But then, if I should cash out similar price, I will just purchase GTA5 in Datablitz. At least I supported them (DB).
