Prologue

A few days have passed since the reported raid by "Ragna the Bloodedge", the SS-class Librarium traitor with the highest bounty in history, alias "Grim Reaper". The 13th Hierarchical City "Kagutsuchi" forgets to celebrate New Years, as his alleged involvement in the "Mysterious Bombing" and "Huge Pentacle Sightings" becomes the talk of the town.
With the Novus Orbis Librarium offering no official explanation, the citizens voice their own theories, exaggerating and spreading rumors like wildfire. The name "Ragna the Bloodedge" is engraved in the minds of the people.
Completely indifferent to the state of the city, the silver-haired Grim Reaper grips his massive sword and quietly bides his time—waiting for the chance to achieve his true objective.
And then, the enormous "power" that has ensnared the "Grim Reaper" begins to activate...

What is coming in the new version:
-Confirmed 3 New Playable Characters
-Stages have been redone and plus new stages
-Many System changes.
-All existing characters receive new moves.
-New Beginners mode, allows for easy specials and combos.
-There will be twice as many anime cutscenes, once again animated by Gonzo.
-The tutorial mode is fully voiced, with Rachel offering guidance to the player.
-Legion Mode same w/ PSP version of CT
-Challenge Mode will have challenges like making long combos, only a monster can get the highest rank.
-Story mode is about 30 hours 1 1/2 to 2 hours per character (for 100% completion)
-Small Changes to characters from arcade to console port
-All characters will also be appearing as unique boss versions in different storylines.
-Netcode is being improved over the previous version's.
System Changes at a glance:
- Guard Libra replaced with a new Guard Primer system.
- Burst system overhauled, no more Danger from bursting and you can stock up to 2 bursts at once.
- You can perform an Astral Heat now as long as you only need 1 round to win. You must have 100% meter and a burst ready to use it!

One Who Wavers Between Friendship and Duty
Tsubaki Yayoi
Devoted to training from an early age, she possesses tremendous combat ability despite being a woman. After graduating from the Military Academy, she took an active role as the First Lieutenant of a squad known as the 0th Division. Following the events of the previous game, she travels to the story's stage, the city of "Kagutsuchi", to assassinate Jin and her former classmate Noel for deserting the organization.

The Man Whose Body Harbors Karma
Hazama
An officer attached to the NOL's intelligence department. His rank is captain, and the name "Hazama" is an alias. When Jin Kisaragi set out for "Kagatsuchi" alone, he was put in charge of the case and worked with Noel, but on the eve of Ragna the Bloodedge's terrorist bombing, began acting towards a different goal. Because of his constantly smiling expression and carefree demeanor, it's impossible to get a read on him. He's very talkative, though he has humble manners. He dislikes hassles and combat, and the completion of the mission is always his top priority.

Summons small devices (steins?) that fire lasers at the opponent. You can launch attacks simultaneously with the lasers. For lack of a concrete explanation, I'll refer to the nodes as "steins" (German for "stones").

-Continuum Shift is incorporating Street Fighter 4's Arcade Fight Request, which allows you to play through single player while waiting for an online opponent. But now you can turn this feature on during Training Mode and Arcade Mode.
-Player rankings for 360 and PS3 were separate before, but now they will be CROSS-PLATFORM. Note you cannot play cross-platform, it's just the ranking of all the players.
